Season 4 of the Indian Hindi-language competitive reality TV series MasterChef India – Hindi on Star Plus on 26 January 2015 and aired from Monday through Saturday at 10:30 pm IST.

Vikas Khanna and Sanjeev Kapoor returned as judges while Kunal Kapur was replaced by Ranveer Brar. [1] [2] Gunjan Joshi also returned as writer after season 3.

The show also had Vighnesh Pande as a comic relief for a special episode with his puppet character 'Tito' disguised as a wild card entrance to roast the contestants, judges and the host of the season.

21-year-old student Nikita Gandhi, who is a non-resident Indian and person of Indian origin, was announced as the winner on 12 April 2015. [3] [4] Neha Deepak Shah and Bhakti Arora were the first and second runner-ups respectively. [5] [6]

Format

From nationwide auditions, the judges picked 12 home cooks that advanced to the main competition. Unlike the other seasons, this season was exclusively focused on vegetarian cooking alone. [7] [8]

MasterChef India – Hindi and Junior Masterchef Swaad Ke Ustaad were produced by Colosceum Media. Endemol Shine India has been producing MasterChef India – Hindi since season 5 onwards through Star India and Sun TV Network with Innovative Film Academy co-producing it for other language versions. Sony Pictures Networks have purchased the rights of the franchise and has been producing the show in all the three languages since then. The show has since been premiered on SonyLIV.

Season 8 of the Indian Hindi language competitive reality TV series MasterChef India – Hindi premiered on SonyLIV on 16 October 2023. Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar returned as the judges for the show while Garima Arora was replaced by Pooja Dhingra. Mohammed Ashiq from Mangalore won the season and Nambie Marak finished as runner up.
