Mathilde Cini (born 18 November 1994) is a French swimmer. [2]

She competed at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. [2]

Biography

Born in Briançon, Mathilde Cini moved with her family during childhood to Montmeyran in the Drôme. She began her sporting career with triathlon at the age of seven, before devoting herself exclusively to swimming, the triathlon discipline in which she is most at ease in competition.

In 2010, she took part in the Youth Olympic Games, winning gold in the 50-meter backstroke. At the age of eighteen, Mathilde Cini heads for Paris and the INSEP, where a 50-meter pool is at her disposal, unlike in Valence. [3]

After winning all three backstroke titles (50, 100 and 200 meters) [4] at the 2014 French Short Course Championships, at the World Short Course Championships in Doha, she and her teammates won the bronze medal in the 4 x 50 m medley relay, during which she beat the French 50 m backstroke record held by Laure Manaudou in 26 s 61. Ranomi Kromowidjojo is a retired Dutch swimmer of mixed Dutch-Javanese Surinamese origin who mainly specialises in sprint freestyle events. She is a triple Olympic champion, winning the gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2008 Olympics, and in the 50 m freestyle and 100 m freestyle at the 2012 Olympics. Kromowidjojo holds the world record in the 50 meter freestyle short course, and as part of the Dutch team she holds the world record in the 4×50 m freestyle relay. She formerly held world records in the 4 × 100 m and 4 × 200 m freestyle relays. She has won a total of 39 medals in FINA World Championship events.

Zhao Jing is a Chinese former competitive swimmer, backstroke specialist, and world record-holder. Zhao swam at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the women's 4x100-meter medley relay in 2008. She has also won gold medals as a member of Chinese teams at the 2009, 2011 and 2013 World Aquatics Championships, and the 2010 short course world championships. She also won individual world titles in the 50-meter backstroke in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013, and the 100-meter backstroke in 2011.

Hélène Defrance is a French former sailor, who won a bronze medal in the women's 470 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also won the 2010 470 European Championships race, and the 2016 470 World Championships. Defrance is a knight of the Ordre national du Mérite.

Analia Pigrée is a French Guianese swimmer who competes internationally representing France. She is the French record holder in the long course and short course 50 metre backstroke and the short course 100 metre backstroke. In the 50 metre backstroke, she won the gold medal at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, a silver medal at the 2021 European Short Course Championships, and the bronze medal at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships. In the 100 metre backstroke, she won the bronze medal at the 2021 European Short Course Championships.

Roos Vanotterdijk is a Belgian competitive swimmer. She is the Belgian record holder in the long course 50 metre freestyle, 100 metre freestyle, 50 metre backstroke, 100 metre backstroke, and 100 metre butterfly, as well as the short course 50 metre backstroke and 100 metre individual medley. She is a six-time medalist in individual events at the European Junior Swimming Championships and medalist at the European Youth Olympic Festival.

Florine Gaspard is a Belgian competitive swimmer specializing in sprint breaststroke events. She is the Belgian record holder in the long course and short course 50-metre breaststroke. She placed sixth in the final of the 50-metre breaststroke at the 2021 European Short Course Championships. At the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, she placed eighth in the final of the 50-metre breaststroke. At the World Short Course Championships, she placed eleventh in the semifinals of the 50-metre breaststroke in 2021 and 2022.
