Matias Johan Erik Rale (born 4 March 2001) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a left back.
Rale was born in Vantaa, and started playing football with a local club TiPS in Tikkurila.
He joined the Espoo-based FC Honka organisation when aged 14, [2] and made his Veikkausliiga debut with the Honka first team in 2021. [3] For the 2023 season, Rale was named one of the team captains of Honka. [4] [5]
On 15 January 2024, after a surprising bankruptcy of Honka, Rale joined Lithuanian club Kauno Žalgiris in A Lyga. [6] He left the club after the season.

Honka
FC Honka is a Finnish football club based in Espoo. It was founded in 1957 as Tapion Honka, and changed its name to FC Honka in 1975. The club will play in Kakkonen in the 2024 season, after Esport Honka filed for bankruptcy in November 2023. The club previously played in the Finnish premier division (Veikkausliiga), having been promoted for the first time in their history at the end of the 2005 season. It plays its home matches at the Tapiolan Urheilupuisto.
