Matthew Maher (born 5 October 1971) [2] is an American actor. He is best known for his roles in Bringing Out The Dead (1999), Dogma (1999), Jersey Girl (2004), Gone Baby Gone (2007), It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010), Captain Marvel (2019), and Air (2023).
Maher has an extensive theatrical career having performed at The Public Theater, New York Shakespeare Festival, Berkeley Rep, and Actors Theater of Louisville. Theater credits include Red-Handed Otter at Cherry Lane Theater, Uncle Vanya at Soho Repertory Theatre, Golden Child by David Henry Hwang at Signature Theatre Company, and Tales From My Parents Divorce by The Civilians. In 2016, he starred the Annie Baker play The Flick which debuted Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in 2013, [5] and went on to win the 2014 Pulitzer Prize. [6] The production moved across the pond in 2016, to the Dorfman Theatre, London. [7]

Paula Vogel is an American playwright who received the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her play How I Learned to Drive. A longtime teacher, Vogel spent the bulk of her academic career – from 1984 to 2008 – at Brown University, where she served as Adele Kellenberg Seaver Professor in Creative Writing, oversaw its playwriting program, and helped found the Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium. From 2008 to 2012, Vogel was Eugene O'Neill Professor of Playwriting and department chair at the Yale School of Drama, as well as playwright in residence at the Yale Repertory Theatre.
The Obie Awards or Off-Broadway Theater Awards are annual awards given since 1956 by The Village Voice newspaper to theatre artists and groups involved in off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway productions in New York City. Starting just after the 2014 ceremony, the American Theatre Wing is joint presenter and administrative manager of the Obie Awards.
