Matti Tapio Poikala (born 26 July 1935) is a retired Swedish wrestler. He competed in the freestyle lightweight division at the 1964 Summer Olympics, but was eliminated in the second bout. He then won a silver medal at the 1968 European and a bronze at the 1969 world championships in Greco-Roman wrestling, and finished fourth in 1969 in the 74 kg freestyle contest. [1]
Poikala was born in Finland and immigrated to Sweden in 1959. [2]

Kurt Arne Pettersén was a bantamweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Sweden who won a gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics. He won silver medals at the European championships in 1938 and 1939 (Greco-Roman) and 1949 (freestyle).

Bror Viking Palm was a Swedish light-heavyweight freestyle wrestler. He competed at the 1952, 1956 and 1960 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1952, finishing fourth in 1960. In 1960 his bronze medal match against Anatoly Albul ended in a draw, but Albul had a lower body weight. Palm won two medals at the world championships, in 1951 and 1954.

Zagalav Abdulbekovich Abdulbekov is a retired Russian featherweight freestyle wrestler of Avar heritage. He won the world title in 1971 and 1973 and an Olympic gold medal in 1972. At the European Championships, he earned a silver in 1973 and a bronze in 1969 and 1975.
Ernst Hilding Waldemar Nilsson was a Swedish heavyweight wrestler who competed at the 1912, 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics. He won a bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in 1920 and placed fourth-fifth in the Greco-Roman and freestyle contests in 1924. Nilsson won two world titles in Greco-Roman wrestling, in 1913 and 1922.

He finished fourth in the freestyle in 1952 and in the Greco-Roman wrestling in 1960. He was born in Riguldi Parish, Lääne County, Estonia into a Swedish-speaking family. In 1943 he emigrated to Sweden and started wrestling in 1947 in Stockholm.
Kurt-Benny Christer Elmgren is a retired Swedish freestyle wrestler. He placed fifth in the 78 kg weight division at the 1966 European Championships, and competed in the 82 kg weight division at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He won the Nordic championships in 1975 and 1976 and was the national wrestling champions from 1969 to 1976.
Matti Lahti was a Finnish wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle light heavyweight at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
