The Maybank Tigers are a professional men's volleyball team playing major leagues such as the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) and the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by Maybank Philippines and was one of the four pioneer men's teams in the PSL. It debuted in the men's inaugural tournament, the 2013 Grand Prix conference, where it finished in third (bronze) place. [1] [2]

Philippine Super Liga Professional volleyball league in the Philippines

The Philippine Super Liga is the first professional corporate club volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and is now owned by Philippine SuperLiga, Inc. The league is envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career.

The 2013 PSL Grand Prix was the second tournament of the Philippine Super Liga for its maiden season. It was held from November 10, 2013 to December 14, 2013. For this conference (women's), each team was allowed to include two import players in the line up. The TMS-Philippine Army Lady Troopers clinched the women's championship, thereby winning all two conferences of the 2013 PSL season.

The team was owned by the family of Alvaro Antonio and managed by his daughter, Criselda Antonio, herself, a former volleyball player.

The Philippine Army Lady Troopers are the official women's professional volleyball team of the Philippine Army. The team is composed of enlisted personnel and reinforced with civilian players from time to time.
