The Mayor of Las Anod is the chief executive of the city of Las Anod, the capital of Sool region in Somaliland. The current mayor is Abdirahim Ali Ismail, who took office on 20 June 2021. [1] [2] [3]

Abdiaziz Hussein Hassan also known as Taarwale is a Somali politician. He served as the Mayor of Las Anod, the capital and the largest city of Sool region of Somaliland, from 16 January 2017 to 20 June 2021, where he was succeeded by Abdirahim Ali Ismail.

War Idaad, also known as Wandad, Waridad, or Waridud is a town in Aynabo District, in the Sool region of Somaliland. In 2008, the surrounding villages were combined and promoted to "War Idaad District", and several more surrounding districts were combined to form the new "Saraar Region". In 2020, these became Aynabo District of the Sool Region.

Abdirahim Ali Ismail Farah, nicknamed Qase is a Somali politician, and the current Mayor of Las Anod, the capital and the largest city of Sool region of Somaliland since 20 June 2021. He succeeded Abdiaziz Hussein Hassan on 20 June 2021 after the 2021 Somaliland municipal elections.

Ahmed Abdi Mohamed Habsade is a Puntland and Somaliland politician. A former Somali soldier, he was instrumental in the founding of Somaliland and became the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives. In 1998, he was appointed Minister of the Interior of Puntland but was dismissed in 2007 after a conflict with Mohamud Muse Hersi, who became President of Puntland in 2006. In 2007, he brought Somaliland troops into Las Anod, leading to Somaliland's effective control of the Sool region. He served as various Somaliland Ministers of state from 2008. In 2014, Abdiweli Gaas became President of Puntland and he come back to Puntland.

Osman Saleban Jama was the mayor of Las Anod, the capital city in the Sool region of Somaliland, from 3 April 2015 to 16 January 2017.

Tuulo Samakaab or Tuula Samakaab is a village in the center Sool Region of Somaliland. It is located in the middle of the road connecting Aynaba and Las Anod, two of Somaliland's large cities. It is the starting point of the road connecting this road with the Buhoodle District.
