The Medical District of Augusta, Georgia, is a special-use zoning district located between downtown and Summerville. The district is bounded to the north by Walton Way, to the east by R.A. Dent Boulevard, to the west by Heard Avenue, and to the south by Wrightsboro Road. The district comprises a number of medical facilities and private medical companies. [1]
The Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC)—known as Walter Reed General Hospital (WRGH) until 1951—was the U.S. Army's flagship medical center from 1909 to 2011. Located on 113 acres (46 ha) in the District of Columbia, it served more than 150,000 active and retired personnel from all branches of the military. The center was named after Major Walter Reed (1851–1902), an Army physician who led the team that confirmed that yellow fever is transmitted by mosquitoes rather than direct contact.
Augusta University is a public university and academic medical center in Augusta, Georgia. It is a part of the University System of Georgia and has satellite medical campuses in Savannah, Albany, Rome, and Athens. It employs over 15,000 people, has more than 56,000 alumni, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) is a pediatric hospital with a Level I trauma center in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is among the largest in the United States, serving patience from birth to age 21. ACH is affiliated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and serves as a teaching hospital with the UAMS College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics. ACH staff consists of more than 505 physicians, 200 residents, and 4,400 support staff. The hospital includes 336 licensed beds, and offers three intensive care units. Arak University of Medical Sciences is one of the most prestigious Iranian medical schools located in Arak, Iran. This university is the main health care provider in Markazi province and one of the biggest universities central of Iran. The university was established by efforts of the director of regional organizations for Health in Markazi province and Majlis representative of Arak and authorities of Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. University Hospital is a non-profit 581-bed private hospital located in downtown Augusta, Georgia. Established in 1818, it is the second-oldest hospital in Georgia. Although University Hospital is a teaching institution, it does not currently sponsor an academic program resulting in a degree. University Hospital is no longer directly affiliated with the Medical College of Georgia or Augusta University. University Hospital is a fully private hospital receiving no local or state funding.

The hospital was founded in 1988 and is one component of the Walton Rehabilitation Health System. This hospital offers both inpatient and outpatient programs to teens and adults and assesses disabling illnesses, stroke, head injuries, spinal injuries, and orthopedic injuries. Walton is the only specialized provider of rehabilitation in the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia. Its published mission is to "enhance the quality of life for people with acquired disabilities."

Services offered by PIW include inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, and group treatment programs for substance abuse and addiction.
Paoli Hospital is a 231-bed, not-for-profit, acute care hospital in Paoli, Pennsylvania. In 2014, the hospital was re-accredited as a Level II Trauma Center, the only one in Chester County.
