Augusta, officially Augusta–Richmond County, is a consolidated city-county on the central eastern border of the U.S. state of Georgia. The city lies across the Savannah River from South Carolina at the head of its navigable portion. Georgia's third-largest city after Atlanta and Columbus, Augusta is located in the Fall Line section of the state.

It draws students in grades 6 through 12 throughout Richmond County. In addition to a basic curriculum of college preparatory and Advanced Placement academic courses, Davidson offers academic and fine arts courses in the areas of visual arts, music, chorus, dance, cinema production, and theatre. It has been recognized as a National Grammy Signature School, has been ranked as the #1 school in the state of Georgia, and has placed in the top 100 tier of Newsweek's "America's Best High Schools."
Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) is a large public school district administered by the government of Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, and is overseen by the Maryland State Department of Education. The school system is headquartered in Upper Marlboro and the district serves all of Prince George's County.The district includes all of the county. The Richmond County School System is an American public school system based in Augusta, Georgia. It is run by the Richmond County Board of Education which, under Article VIII, § V, Paragraph 2, requires that each school system be under the management and control of an elected board of education. As elected Constitutional officials of Georgia, the school board members are responsible for setting educational policies, employing school personnel, providing buildings and equipment, operating a transportation system, and disbursing school funds. The board of education meets in the Richmond County Board of Education building at 864 Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia. It serves consolidated Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia and the south Richmond County cities of Hephzibah and Blythe. The system has an enrollment of around 32,000 students, attending 36 elementary schools, ten middle schools, eight high schools, four magnet schools, and three other schools. The school board has its own police department which provides law enforcement services to all the district's schools.
Hephzibah High School is a high school located in south Richmond County in the town of Hephzibah, Georgia, United States. It is the largest high school, by attendance, in the Richmond County School System. It is located in a rural area and its students generally live in a rural or suburban setting.
Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) or Special School District Number 1 is a public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minneapolis Public Schools enrolls 36,370 students in public primary and secondary schools. The district administers about one hundred public schools including forty-five elementary schools, seven middle schools, seven high schools, eight special education schools, eight alternative schools, nineteen contract alternative schools, and five charter schools. With authority granted by the state legislature, the school board makes policy, selects the superintendent, and oversees the district's budget, curriculum, personnel, and facilities. Students speak ninety different languages at home and most school communications are printed in English, Hmong, Spanish, and Somali.

Lucy C. Laney Comprehensive High School is a public high school in the Laney-Walker district of Augusta, Georgia, United States. It was formed in 1949 by combining the A. R. Johnson and Haines Normal and Industrial Institute. This combination merged what was seen as the best of both schools. From the merger, Laney derived the mascot the "Wildcat," and the school colors of red and grey.

Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School (RCTCM) is a magnet school for the arts and technical careers located in the South Augusta area of Augusta, Georgia, United States. It was formed in 2012 at the former Joseph R. Lamar School in Downtown Augusta, Georgia. In January 2013, Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School moved to the current building with Ms. Melissa Clark as Principal. It draws students in grades 6 through 12 from throughout Richmond County.
