Junoon is a Pakistani sufi rock band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and Tappan, New York, formed in 1990.
Vital Signs were a Pakistani pop and rock band formed in Rawalpindi in 1986 by two Peshawar University students. After their formation, they soon became Pakistan's first and most commercially successful as well as critically acclaimed act. The band's popular lineup consisted of keyboardist Rohail Hyatt, bassist Shahzad Hasan, guitarist Nusrat Hussain and vocalist Junaid Jamshed. Rooted in Rawalpindi with some influence from Western music during the conservative regime of President Zia-ul-Haq, the Vital Signs utilizes several genres, ranging from pop music to rock, and often incorporating classical and other elements in innovative ways. In the early 1990s, they came to be perceived by many Pakistani fans and country's cultural observers as a "promising new era of cultural revival". Their enormous popularity significantly opened a new wave of music and a modern chapter in the history of Pakistan.
Shoaib Mansoor is a Pakistani television and film director, writer, producer, lyricist and musician of Muhajir origin.
Jal is a pop rock band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The band originally consisted of songwriter, vocalist and lead guitarist, Goher Mumtaz and vocalist, Atif Aslam and later joined by bass guitarist Omer Nadeem and later Salman Albert joined on drums in 2003. Founded in 2002, they first became popular playing in Lahore's underground music scene with the release of their song "Aadat".
Us Rah Par is Pakistani pop singer Junaid Jamshed Khan's second solo effort, after Junaid and the rest of the band members took a break from the Vital Signs. It was critically and commercially successful. Like many other Vital Signs albums, Us Rah Par continued Junaid's collaboration with Shoaib Mansoor. The title track Us Rah Par is a slow blues number which featured a video directed by Bilal Maqsood. However it was the techno flavored Na Tu Ayegi which actually gave the album the much needed commercial push. Three songs in the album are composed by Biddu
Awaz was a Pakistani pop band that formed in Islamabad in 1992. The group was formed by Haroon Rashid, lead vocalist, who was soon joined by keyboardist Faakhir Mehmood and lead guitarist Asad Ahmed. Awaz were one of the pioneer bands of the local pop music scene and were highly skilled and talented musicians, producers and composers. The band's skill at composing and producing was often overlooked and the focus was on their good looks, glossy videos, catchy songs and wild stage performances. Awaz is also regarded as one of the most successful bands in Pakistan having sold more than 5 million albums worldwide.
"Sweet Sacrifice" is a song by American rock band Evanescence from their second studio album, The Open Door. It was released on May 25, 2007, as the album's third single. The song was written by Amy Lee and Terry Balsamo, and produced by Dave Fortman. It is about coming out of the abusive relationship that inspired much of Lee's writing on the debut album. "Sweet Sacrifice" received generally positive reviews by critics, and was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 50th Grammy Awards. Its music video was directed by P.R. Brown.
Junaid Jamshed Khan was a Pakistani singer-songwriter, television personality, fashion designer, actor, engineer, and preacher. Jamshed first gained nationwide and international recognition as the vocalist of Vital Signs. Their 1987 album, Vital Signs 1 included the hit singles "Dil Dil Pakistan", and "Tum Mil Gaye". The commercial success of the album helped develop Pakistan's rock music industry.

Apart from within Pakistan, Pakistani pop music has also achieved an influential following and popularity in neighboring countries and is listened by members of the Pakistani diaspora, especially in the Middle East, Europe and North America.
Duur is the third album by the Pakistani pop band Strings, first released on 21 January 2000 and then re-released on 1 January 2002. Singles from the album were Duur, Anjane, and Aankhain.
Strings was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood, Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy —in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry.

Singles released included "Bachana", "Tou Kia Hua", "Larho Mujhey", "Kabhi Gham Na Aey", and Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu. In 2012, he has been nominated for Best Album at the 11th Lux Style Awards for the album "Umeed". Khan holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Politics and Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and later studied from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Door is the ninth studio album and twentieth overall album by the Pakistani rock band Junoon. It was released on 26 December 2016 by Universal Music in Pakistan and India. It is the second Junoon album led by guitarist and singer Salman Ahmad following Ali Azmat's departure in 2005 and a tribute album following the death of former Vital Signs vocalist Junaid Jamshed in plane crash on 07th December 2016, to whom "Khwab" and "Door Bohat Door" are dedicated.

Commercially, "Tu Manera" reached number 78 on Romania's Airplay 100 chart. Soch is a pop and sufi rock band from Lahore, Pakistan. It consists of two members – Adnan Dhool (vocals) and Rabi Ahmad (guitars). The band was formed by the lead vocalist Adnan Dhool in 2010. In 2011, the band released their first single "Bandeya".
