Education in Malaysia is overseen by the Ministry of Education. Although education is the responsibility of the Federal Government, each state and federal territory has an Education Department to co-ordinate educational matters in its territory. The main legislation governing education is the Education Act 1996.

Malacca City is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Malacca, in Melaka Tengah District. It is the oldest Malaysian city on the Straits of Malacca, having become a successful entrepôt in the era of the Malacca Sultanate. The present-day city was founded by Parameswara, a Sumatran prince who escaped to the Malay Peninsula when Srivijaya fell to the Majapahit. Following the establishment of the Malacca Sultanate, the city drew the attention of traders from the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia, as well as the Portuguese, who intended to dominate the trade route in Asia. After Malacca was conquered by Portugal, the city became an area of conflict when the sultanates of Aceh and Johor attempted to take control from the Portuguese.
Malacca High School (MHS) is a secondary school in Malacca, Malaysia. Founded on 7 December 1826, it is the second oldest recorded school in the country after only Penang Free School. It was awarded cluster school status and is known as one of the premier schools in Malaysia.
Ayer Keroh is a town situated in Melaka Tengah District, Malacca, Malaysia. It is the seat of the state government since 2006, being the home of the state secretariat building complex – Seri Negeri complex and one of a few towns which formed the Hang Tuah Jaya municipality.

Malay was first used in the first millennia known as Old Malay, a part of the Austronesian language family. Over a period of two millennia, Malay has undergone various stages of development that derived from different layers of foreign influences through international trade, religious expansion, colonisation and developments of new socio-political trends. The oldest form of Malay is descended from the Proto-Malayo-Polynesian language spoken by the earliest Austronesian settlers in Southeast Asia. This form would later evolve into Old Malay when Indian cultures and religions began penetrating the region, most probably using the Kawi and Rencong scripts, some linguistic researchers say. Old Malay contained some terms that exist today, but are unintelligible to modern speakers, while the modern language is already largely recognisable in written Classical Malay of 1303 CE.
Melaka Island is a man-made islet approximately 0.5 km off the coast of Malacca City, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Malacca, just south of its business district Melaka Raya. It was part of the “Twin Island City Centre” waterfront project undertaken by Pulau Kembar Sdn Bhd, a defunct joint-venture of Larut Consolidated Berhad and Talam Corporation Berhad, which involved the reclamation of two islands measuring 40ha and 50ha respectively.
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka is a public university located in Durian Tunggal, Malacca, Malaysia. It is the first technical public university and the 14th public university overall in Malaysia. The university is considered the pioneer in the use of the "Practice and Application Oriented" teaching and learning method for tertiary level technical education in Malaysia.
Melaka Sentral is the largest public transportation terminal in Malacca, Malaysia. It occupies 46.6 hectares of land and located between Lebuh AMJ and Jalan Panglima Awang and was opened on 14 May 2004. The construction of the bus terminal costed RM610,000 and begun in February 2003 and completed in the following year. It was constructed with high roofs which allows sunlight to reach the inside of the terminal building and based on the design of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The bus terminal is linked to Lotus's Peringgit and Seri Cempaka retail area by an octobus linkbridge.
Mohd. Ali bin Mohd. Rustam is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 7th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka since June 2020. He served as the 9th Chief Minister of Melaka from December 1999 to May 2013, Deputy Minister of Health from November 1996 to December 1999, Deputy Minister of Transport from May 1995 to November 1996, Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Berendam from April 1995 to November 1999, Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Batu from March 2004 to May 2013, for Paya Rumput from November 1999 to March 2004, for Sungai Udang from October 1990 to April 1995 and for Ayer Molek from August 1986 to October 1990. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
Melaka International Trade Centre is a conference centre situated in the town of Ayer Keroh, in the Malaysian state of Malacca. It was officially launched on June 2003 by Mohammad Ali bin Rustam, the former Chief Minister of Malacca.

The Stadthuys is a historical structure situated in the heart of Malacca City, the administrative capital of the state of Malacca, Malaysia, in a place known as the Red Square. The Stadthuys is known for its red exterior and nearby red clocktower. It was built by the Dutch in 1650 as the office of the Dutch governor and deputy governor. It continued to be used as the Treasury, Post Office, Government Offices, and suites of apartments for the high officials after the takeover by the British.

Internationally, he is President of the World Assembly of Youth. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
Malacca, officially the Historic State of Malacca, is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, facing the Strait of Malacca. The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Tanjung Tuan also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Its capital is Malacca City, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.

Melaka Planetarium, officially Melaka Planetarium Adventure Science Centre, is a planetarium located at Melaka International Trade Centre business district in the town of Ayer Keroh, in the Malaysian state of Malacca. It was officiated by Malacca State Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam on 10 August 2009, and is the second planetarium in the state after the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex in Masjid Tanah. The planetarium features Islamic architecture and a landing UFO, costing MYR20 million to be built over an area of 0.7 hectares and 3 floors. It consists of four sections, which are astronomy, outer space, simulation, and physics, and exhibits the magnificent cosmos, history of astronomy and astronomers and also various other attractions.
