Vladimir Viktorovich Smirnov was a Soviet foil and épée fencer. He was the 1980 Olympic champion in men's foil, and the 1981 world champion in men's foil. He was killed accidentally in a bout during the 1982 World Fencing Championships in Rome, Italy.

A three-time Olympian, Imboden is a two-time team Olympic bronze medalist. He competed in the 2012 London Olympic Games, the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, and the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Alaaeldin Mohamed El-Sayed Abouelkassem is an Egyptian fencer who won a silver medal in the men's foil event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He took up fencing at the age of eight and, in 2008, began fencing internationally, winning medals at the African and World Junior Championships, as well as the Junior World Cup, before progressing to the senior level in 2011 and capturing bronze at the Fleuret de St-Petersbourg. Later that year, he earned gold medals at the 2011 Pan Arab Games in the individual and team foil events before progressing to the 2012 Summer Games, where he won Africa's first-ever Olympic fencing medal.

Mohamed Hamza is an Egyptian foil fencer who graduated from Princeton University. He competed for Egypt in both the men's team foil event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and men's foil individual and team events at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Nick Itkin is an American right-handed foil fencer. Itkin is a two-time individual NCAA champion, 2023 Individual Pan American Games Gold medalist, two-time individual World Championship medalist, and 2021 team Olympic bronze medalist. Itkin took foil silver at the 2023 World Fencing Championships to become the first U.S. man, and third U.S. fencer overall, to win an individual medal at back-to-back World Championships.
Maria Boldor is a Romanian right-handed foil fencer. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's foil event at the 2022 World Fencing Championships held in Cairo, Egypt.
