Men of Standard is an American gospel group.
The group spent the bulk of their tenure as signees to the Malaco Records subsidiary Muscle Shoals. Their album released on Columbia Records/Sony Gospel features production from Warryn Campbell as well as a guest appearance from rapper Heavy D and Kirk Franklin. They were also a featured act on the second leg on Kirk Franklin’s Hero tour.
The current group is Bryan Pierce, Isaac Carree and Lowell Pye. [1]
Lowell Curtis Pye, Sr. (born March 28, 1970 Detroit, Michigan) [2] [3] [4] sang as a tenor in John P. Kee’s V.I.P choir. In 1991, Pye was featured as the lead in Kee’s "Jesus Is Real." Pye, who grew up in Detroit, Michigan sang in an adult gospel men’s quartet at the age of four. He is now a Praise & Worship leader at his church.
Bryan Joseph Pierce was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 3, 1972. He began preaching at the age of six. He was later licensed at the age of nine and ordained at the age of 19. Pierce is the former Youth Pastor at Greater St. Stephens in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1996, Pierce relocated to Greensboro, NC where he served in full-time ministry as Evangelism Pastor at the Mount Zion Baptist Church.
In April 1999, Pierce accepted the call to Pastorship at Bethel Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He was installed in June 1999. Pierce is married to Minister Debra A. Pierce. They are the parents of three sons and one daughter, Bryan Jr., Brandon Joshua, Devin Ahmad and Bryana Janae.
In December 2012, Pierce accepted senior pastor position of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Isaac Carree (born April 28, 1973), grew up in North Carolina where his mother is Pastor Nancy Wilson of New Beginnings Community Outreach Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Carree began singing solos by the age of 5. He later sang as a tenor in John P. Kee’s V.I.P choir. Upon leaving Kee’s choir, he kept a "day job" and later did road/touring stage plays where he met Pierce. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is now a Praise & Worship leader at his church. He has contributed his vocals to singer Michelle Williams’ solo debut album, Heart To Yours. Carree has sung on Kirk Franklin's albums and in his performances. He released his solo album, Uncommon Me in August 2011. He lives with his wife Dietra, son Isaac IV, and daughter Alaina. He also sang background for Faith Evans on the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour.
Former Men of Standard member Michael Bacon is from Dallas, Texas. He left the group amicably in 2005.

Shirley Ann Caesar-Williams, known professionally as Shirley Caesar, is an American gospel singer whose career has spanned seven decades. She has won 11 Grammys in addition to Dove Awards and Stellar Awards; Caesar is known as the "First Lady of Gospel Music" and "The Queen of Gospel Music". She began recording with Federal Records at the age of 12 in 1951.
Kirk Dewayne Franklin is an American choir director, gospel singer, and songwriter. He is best known for leading urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God's Property, and One Nation Crew (1NC) among many others. He has won numerous awards, including 16 Grammy Awards. Variety dubbed Franklin as a "Reigning King of Urban Gospel", and is one of the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame.
James Edward Cleveland was an American gospel singer, musician, and composer. Known as the King of Gospel, Cleveland was a driving force behind the creation of the modern gospel sound by incorporating traditional black gospel, soul, pop, and jazz in arrangements for mass choirs. Throughout his career, Cleveland appeared on hundreds of recordings and earned four Grammy Awards. He was the first gospel musician to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1984. For his trailblazing accomplishments, he is regarded by many as one of the greatest gospel singers who ever lived. He is best known for his gospel classics "Lord, Help Me to Hold Out", "Peace Be Still", "I Don't Feel No Ways Tired", “Where Is Your Faith", "The Love of God", "God Has Smiled on Me", and his rendition of Gladys Knight & The Pips' "You're the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me."
Heart to Yours is the debut solo studio album by American singer and songwriter Michelle Williams. Released on April 16, 2002, by Sanctuary and Columbia Records, it became the first solo release of any Destiny's Child member. Production of the album began in 2001, with Williams working with an array of producers, including her brother Erron Williams, HR Crump and Warryn Campbell. Heart to Yours is primarily a contemporary gospel album, which incorporates elements of other styles and genres such as neo-soul, inspirational, R&B and rock music. The album includes a tribute, dedicated to the victims and families affected by the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. Writing on her vocal performances, critics drew comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott.

He has won three Grammy Awards, ten Stellar Awards, two BET Awards, two Soul Train Awards, one Dove Award and one NAACP Image Awards. He is one of the top selling gospel artists, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. Variety dubbed McClurkin as a "Reigning King of Urban Gospel".
John P. Kee is an American gospel singer and pastor.
The Nu Nation Project is the fifth studio album by Kirk Franklin. It is his final album in collaboration with The Family and God's Property, the first to feature One Nation Crew, and the only one to feature Nu Nation. Its sequel entitled "Something About the Name Jesus, Pt. 2" featuring Rance Allen, Marvin Winans, John P. Kee & Isaac Carree is on his 2011 album, Hello Fear. It was released on September 22, 1998, and won the 1998 Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album".
Luther Barnes is a record producer, director, songwriter, composer and lead singer of Luther Barnes and the Sunset Jubilaires and the Red Budd Gospel Choir.
The Total Experience Gospel Choir is a gospel music group based in Seattle, Washington, United States, founded in 1973 by Patrinell "Pat" Wright, who continues to lead the group as of 2016. They have sung in at least 38 states and 22 countries, have performed for United States presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and made at least seven recordings of their own, as well as singing behind Barry Manilow at KeyArena in 2015, and on the song "Save Me" on Dave Matthews's CD Some Devil. They have appeared in television commercials and on the public radio program A Prairie Home Companion as well as numerous other radio programs.
Historic First Bryan Baptist Church is an African-American church that was organized in Savannah, Georgia, by Andrew Bryan in 1788. Considered to be the Mother Church of Black Baptist, the site was purchased in 1793 by Bryan, a former slave who had also purchased his freedom. The first structure was erected there in 1794. By 1800 the congregation was large enough to split: those at Bryan Street took the name of First African Baptist Church, and Second and Third African Baptist churches were also established. The current sanctuary of First Bryan Baptist Church was constructed in 1873.

WOW Gospel 2012 is a gospel music compilation album from the award-winning WOW series. Released on January 24, 2012, the double CD album features thirty contemporary gospel hits. The album cover pays tribute to Los Angeles, California, with a side tribute to the San Francisco Bay Area on the back album cover notes. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart, and number 30 on the Billboard 200 chart.
WOW Gospel 2013 is a gospel music compilation album from the award-winning WOW series. Released on January 29, 2013, the double CD album features thirty contemporary gospel hits. The album cover pay tribute to Atlanta, Georgia, and it is second WOW Gospel album to do so. The second Atlanta tribute is based on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and the "I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King Jr. The album topped out at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart and #43 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Ricky Rydell Dillard is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1987, as a Chicago house musician. His first Christian music album was Promise, by Muscle Shoals Records. His next album, A Holy Ghost Take-Over, was released in 1993 by Malaco Records. The subsequent album, Hallelujah, was released by them in 1995. Crystal Spring Records released, 1996's Work It Out, 2000's No Limit, and Unplugged in 2004. With EMI Gospel, he released, 7th Episode, that came out in 2007. He released, Keep Living, with Light Records in 2011. His next release, Amazing, came out in 2014 with Entertainment One Music.
Isaac Thompson Carree III is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1990, with the Gospel legend John P. Kee, yet his solo career commenced in 2011, with the release of Uncommon Me by Sovereign Agency. His second album, Reset, was released by Door 6 in 2013. Both albums charted on The Billboard 200 along with chartings on Gospel Albums and Independent Albums charts.
Lowell Curtis Pye is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1996, with the gospel group Men of Standard, yet his solo career commenced in 2010, with the release of Finally by Miralex Entertainment. His second album, Transformed, was released by Entertainment One in 2014. Both albums charted on Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart.
Reverend Fair Cloth Barnes was an American gospel musician, and the founding pastor of Red Budd Holy Church, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. His recorded music career began in 1983, with the album Rough Side of the Mountain, released by Atlanta International Records ; all his fifteen albums were on that label. That album reached no. 1 in the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart, and six others entered the top twenty.
Roy Keith Pringle is an American gospel musician and organist, who is the founder of Pentecostal Community Choir. His first album, "Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the Lord", was released in 1979. He went on to release more albums with Savoy Records, Hopesong Records, Heartwarming Records, Muscle Shoals Records, Malaco Records, and Platinum Entertainment. Five of these albums would chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. He received a Grammy Award-nomination for the song "Call Him Up" that was on the 1980 album "True Victory".
Long Live Love is the twelfth studio album by American musician Kirk Franklin. RCA Inspiration, a division of RCA Records, alongside Fo Yo Soul Recordings released the album on May 31, 2019. It debuted at number-one on the US Top Gospel Albums chart, becoming his 13th release to top the chart, with 20,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. With this, Franklin became the first artist to simultaneously top all five Billboard gospel charts: Top Gospel Albums, Hot Gospel Songs, Gospel Airplay, Gospel Streaming Songs and Gospel Digital Song Sales.
