Meng Fanqi (born 18 September 1998) is a Chinese biathlete. [1] She competed in the 2022 Winter Olympics. [2]

Career

Meng started biathlon in 2013. Meng won a gold medal in the single relay at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics. [3] She also won a gold medal at the 2019 Junior World Championships in the individual event. [4] She competed in multiple biathlon events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She was part of the Chinese team in the mixed relay, placing 15th out of 20 teams. [5] She placed 47th in the individual event, [6] 62nd in the sprint, and 12th with the Chinese team in the women's relay.

Jakov Fak is a Croatia-born Slovenian biathlete competing for Slovenia since 2010. As a member of the Croatian biathlon team, Fak won bronze medals at the 2009 World Championships and at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where he was also the Croatian flag bearer at the opening ceremony. In 2010, Fak switched his citizenship and started competing for Slovenia. During her career she has won a total of two golds and one bronze at the Olympics, seven gold medals, three silver medals and five bronze medals at World Championships, one overall World Cup and two discipline World Cup titles. Dahlmeier announced her retirement from competition in May 2019, at the age of 25. In October 2019, she released a children's book.
