The Mentakab railway station is a Malaysian train station stationed at and named after the town of Mentakab, Temerloh District, Pahang. This station also serve to town of Temerloh, Bentong and Genting Highlands as the nearest station from these places.

The station is one of the major railway stations of Keretapi Tanah Melayu's East Coast Line. KTM intercity and express trains stop at this station. It will also be one of the stations of a proposed railway line, East Coast Rail Link in the future.

Keretapi Tanah MelayuBerhad (KTMB) or Malayan Railways Limited is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia. The railway system dates back to the British colonial era, when it was first built to transport tin. Mentakab is a town, a mukim (commune) and a state assembly constituency in Temerloh District in central Pahang, Malaysia. It is 9 km (5.6 mi) northwest from downtown Temerloh and 82 km (51 mi) northeast from Kuala Lumpur.

The former Intercity services along the West Coast Line between Padang Besar in the north and Gemas have been converted to the KTM ETS service.

The East Coast railway line (ECRL) is the single track metre gauge runs between Gemas railway station, in Negeri Sembilan and Tumpat railway station, in Kelantan of Malaysia. Gemas is the rail junction between the West Coast line and East Coast railway line. Like the West Coast railway line, it is called the East Coast railway line (Malaysia) because it serves two of Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast states, namely Pahang and Kelantan. In fact, it does not run along the coast at all and only meets the South China Sea when it terminates in Tumpat railway station. It runs through the interior, often through deep jungle, thus earning the nickname Jungle Railway. Terengganu is the only state in Peninsular Malaysia not served by the KTM railway network. The East Coast Rail Link is planned to have an interchange with the ECRL at Mentakab and expand the railway network to the cities, such as Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu, in the East Coast.

The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) is a standard gauge double-track railway link infrastructure project connecting Port Klang on the Straits of Malacca to Kota Bharu in northeast Peninsular Malaysia, connecting the East Coast Economic Region states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to one another, and to the Central Region of the Peninsular's west coast.

Jerantut is a town in Jerantut District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is the largest district in the State of Pahang. It covers an area of 2,900 square miles. Bordered by the States of Kelantan and Terengganu in the North, Temerloh and Maran districts in the South, Kuala Lipis and Raub districts in the West and Kuantan district and Terengganu state in the East. It has 10 mukims consisting of 295 villages administered under 58 JKKK. Jerantut District Council was gazetted on 18 February 1982. Jerantut District Council, formerly known as Jerantut Town Board is the local authority of Jerantut town.
