Microvirga lotononensis [3] |
Microvirga lotononidis is a nitrogen fixing, Gram-negative, rod-shaped and non-spore-forming root-nodule bacteria from the genus of Microvirga. [1] [3] [4] Microvirga lotononidis lives in symbiosis with Listia angolensis. [4] [5] [6]
Desulfosporosinus is a genus of strictly anaerobic, sulfate-reducing bacteria, often found in soil.
Muricauda ruestringensis is a bacterium. It is a facultatively anaerobic, appendaged bacterium first isolated from the North Sea. Its nearest relative is Zobellia uliginosa. The type strain is strain B1T.
Desulfobulbus propionicus is a Gram-negative, anaerobic chemoorganotroph. Three separate strains have been identified: 1pr3T, 2pr4, and 3pr10. It is also the first pure culture example of successful disproportionation of elemental sulfur to sulfate and sulfide. Desulfobulbus propionicus has the potential to produce free energy and chemical products.
Cellulophaga algicola is a bacterium. It was first isolated from the surfaces of the chain-forming sea-ice diatom Melosira. It is most similar to Cellulophaga baltica. Its type strain is IC166T.
Sulfobacillus acidophilus is a species of moderately thermophilic mineral-sulphide-oxidizing bacteria. It is Gram-positive, acidophilic and ferrous-iron-oxidising as well.
Pedobacter lentus is a species of Gram-negative, non-motile, pleomorphic bacteria. Its type strain is DS-40(T).
"Syntrophothermus lipocalidus" is a bacterium, the type species and only currently described species in its genus. It is thermophilic, syntrophic, fatty-acid-oxidizing and anaerobic, and utilises isobutyrate. TGB-C1T is its type strain. Its genome has been fully sequenced.
Holophaga foetida is a bacterium, the type species of its genus. It is a homoacetogenic bacterium degrading methoxylated aromatic compounds. It is gram-negative, obligately anaerobic and rod-shaped, with type strain TMBS4. Its genome has been sequenced. It is known for its ability to anaerobically degrade aromatic compounds and the production of volatile sulfur compounds through a unique pathway.
Sulfuricurvum kujiense is a facultatively anaerobic, chemolithoautotrophic, sulfur-oxidizing bacterium, the type species of its genus. Its cells are motile, curved rods and have a single polar flagellum. Its type strain is YK-1T.
Desulfurobacterium thermolithotrophum is a species of autotrophic, sulphur-reducing bacterium isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent. It is the type species of its genus, being thermophilic, anaerobic, Gram-negative, motile and rod-shaped, with type strain BSAT.
Muricauda is a genus in the phylum Bacteroidota.
Ensifer medicae is a species of gram-negative, nitrogen-fixing, rod-shaped bacteria. They can be free-living or symbionts of leguminous plants in root nodules. E.medicae was first isolated from root nodules on plants in the genus Medicago. Some strains of E.medicae, like WSM419, are aerobic. They are chemoorganotrophic mesophiles that prefer temperatures around 28 °C. In addition to their primary genome, these organisms also have three known plasmids, sized 1,570,951 bp, 1,245,408 bp and 219,313 bp.
Microvirga lupini is a nitrogen-fixing, Gram-negative, aerobic rod-shaped and non-spore-forming bacteria from the genus of Microvirga.
Marivirga tractuosa is a bacterium from the genus of Marivirga which has been isolated from beach sand from the South China Sea in Nhatrang in Vietnam.

Runella slithyformis is a bacterium from the genus of Runella which has been isolated from a fresh water lake in Baton Rouge in the United States.
Paludibacter propionicigenes is a Gram-negative, strictly anaerobic, non-spore-forming and non-motile bacterium from the genus of Paludibacter which has been isolated from rice plant residue in Yamagata on Japan. Paludibacter propionicigenes produces propionate and acetate from glucose fermentation and is classified as a saccharolytic fermenter.
Hippea maritima is a bacterium from the genus of Hippea which has been isolated from sediments from a hydrothermal vent from Matupi Harbour in Papua New Guinea.
Calditerrivibrio is a genus of bacteria from the family of Deferribacteraceae with one known species. Calditerrivibrio nitroreducens has been isolated from a hot spring from Yumata in Japan.
