Education and extracurriculars
The school was open to students of all faiths who were seeking an independent, co-educational, college preparatory high school in the Northern Virginia area. Of the twenty-seven full-time members of faculty, seventeen held one or more advanced degrees, with five holding PhDs. Advanced placement (AP) courses were offered in all academic disciplines.
Students participated in a variety of clubs and organizations, such as Green Club, Spirit Club, Yearbook, Student Council, and the Varsity Club. All students were required to have been accepted into one four-year accredited college, pass all classes in their senior year, and fulfill an annual mandatory twenty-five hour community service prerequisite in order to graduate.
Each student was assigned to an Advisory group, which was a group of ten to twelve students and one faculty member which met twice a week. The faculty member acted as a liaison to parents for information about upcoming school activities and as a first point of contact when students needed guidance.
A college-preparatory school is a type of secondary school. The term refers to public, private independent or parochial schools primarily designed to prepare students for higher education.
Appleby College is an international independent school located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1911 by John Guest, a former Headmaster of the Preparatory School at Upper Canada College. Guest dreamed of establishing a small boarding school in the country, and did so with the support and financial assistance of his father-in-law, Sir Byron Edmund Walker, a Canadian businessman. Today, Appleby is a co-educational day and boarding university-preparatory school, with a curriculum based around the liberal arts. It is situated on Lake Ontario in Oakville, Ontario, roughly 50 kilometres west of Toronto. Students are drawn primarily from Oakville, Burlington and Mississauga, but boarding students come from other parts of Canada and throughout all continents of the world.
The White Mountain School, often called White Mountain or WMS, was a co-educational, independent boarding school located in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, United States. Established in 1886 as St. Mary's School in Concord, New Hampshire, the school moved to its second location in 1936, situated just north of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The school ceased operations in 2024, citing insurmountable financial challenges.

Morgan Park Academy (MPA) is a coeducational, college preparatory, independent day school serving pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. It is located in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1873, Morgan Park Academy was formerly known as Mt. Vernon Military Academy, Morgan Park Military Academy (MPMA), briefly as the Illinois Military Academy, and Morgan Park Academy of the University of Chicago. Between 1892 and 1906 MPA had a very close connection with the University of Chicago, with its graduates being specifically groomed to enter the recently founded university.
Boys' Latin School of Maryland is an all-boys, university-preparatory school located in Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1844, it is the oldest independent, nonsectarian secondary school in the state of Maryland. The school is divided into Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. There are approximately 640 students in kindergarten through twelfth grades.
Episcopal High School is a four-year co-educational private day school located on a 34-acre (140,000 m2) campus in Bellaire, Texas, United States, in Greater Houston. It was founded in 1983, and had an enrollment of 797 students in the 2021–2022 school year.

Lourdes Hill College is a Good Samaritan Education secondary day school for girls, located in the inner-eastern Brisbane suburb of Hawthorne, Queensland, Australia. The college also operated as a boarding school until its boarding facilities were closed in 2011.

Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) is a private, co-educational, boarding, high school in New Market, Virginia, United States. It has both boarding and day school programs serving approximately 250 students in grades 9 through 12. The campus is located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, approximately 90 minutes west of Washington, DC. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools. It is a member of the Virginia Council for Private Education. The school was founded in 1908, with its first students enrolling that fall and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 1911.
New Hall School is a Catholic co-educational private boarding and day school in the village of Boreham near Chelmsford, Essex, England. It was founded in 1642 in the Low Countries, now Belgium, by sisters of the Catholic order Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre and moved to its current location, the former Tudor Palace of Beaulieu in Essex, in 1799. It was founded in 1911 by Sam and Mary Middleton as The Gunston Farm School. Gunston draws students from seven Maryland counties: Queen Anne's, Kent, Talbot, Dorchester, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Caroline, and Delaware. There is also a small international student population that resides near the school with host families.
