Mike Norman (born March 29, 1958) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competed in the now defunct NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour from 2009 to 2015. He is the father of Cody Norman, a competitor in 602 and Tour Type modifieds.[ citation needed ]
Norman previously competed in series such as the SMART Modified Tour, the Southern Modified Racing Series, the Southern Modified Race Tour, the ASA Southern Modified Race Tour, and the Carolina Crate Modified Series. [1]

Domenick “Donny” Anthony Lia is an American stock car racing driver. He won the 2007 and 2009 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championships. He also won the Race of Champions Modified Tour races in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. He has raced on the national level in the ARCA Re/Max Series, Camping World Truck Series, and the Nationwide Series.
Todd Szegedy is an American racecar driver. He was the 2003 champion of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Theodore Christopher was an American professional racing driver and business owner who raced and won in many different types of race cars, including Modifieds, SK Modifieds, ISMA, Camping World East Series, Late Models, Pro Stocks, and Midgets. He also raced in NASCAR's now named Monster Energy Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series. He is best known for competing in NASCAR's Whelen Modified Tour, where he has over 40 victories and a championship in 2008. He was also well known for his success on the 1.058 mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway where Christopher has won five Camping World East Series events and 5 Whelen Modified Tour events.
Burt Myers is a race car driver on the SMART Modified Tour. In 1999, at the age of 23, he became the youngest Bowman Gray Stadium track champion in history and would go on to win 10 more titles in 2001, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024. He has won more pole awards than any other driver in the Whelen Southern Modified Tour's history. Myers has 19 career wins and won the 2010 and 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship.

The 2009 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour was the fifth season of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour (WSMT). It began with the Capital Bank 150 at Concord Speedway on March 21. It ended with the Fall Classic 150 at Caraway Speedway on October 24. Brian Loftin entered the season as the defending championship. George Brunnhoelzl III would win his first championship in the series, 180 points ahead of series runner up Andy Seuss.
