Arthur Michael Robert Weaver (born May 2, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman.
As a youth, Weaver played in the 1992 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Chinguacousy Blues minor ice hockey team from Bramalea, Ontario. [1] He later joined the Richmond Hill-Vaughan Kings of OMHA. After being a 7th round draft choice of the OHL's Guelph Storm in 1995, Weaver decided to remain playing OHA Junior A hockey to maintain his NCAA scholarship eligibility.[ citation needed ]
Weaver played Tier II Jr.A. with both the Thornhill Islanders and the Bramalea Blues. His final season with the Blues he led the club to a Dudley Hewitt Cup as OHA Junior A Champions and a berth in the 1999 Royal Bank Cup in Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Weaver's team was eliminated in the semi-finals.[ citation needed ]
The diminutive defenceman acquired a scholarship with the Michigan State Spartans and spent four very productive years in the CCHA that included two First All-Star team nods and two Best Defensive Defenceman awards.[ citation needed ]
Undrafted by the NHL, Weaver was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Thrashers on June 15, 2000. He spent the subsequent season with Atlanta's IHL affiliate, Orlando, with whom he won the Turner Cup as IHL champions. In 2001–02, Weaver played his first 16 games in the NHL, in addition to helping the Thrashers' AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, to a Calder Cup championship. Most of his four seasons as a Thrasher would be spent in the AHL.[ citation needed ]
In the summer of 2004, Weaver would sign with the Los Angeles Kings as a free agent. After playing 2004–05 with the Kings' AHL affiliate, Manchester, Weaver would play 2005–06 and 2006–07 in the NHL.[ citation needed ]
On August 8, 2007, Weaver was signed again as a free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, just before the start of the 2007–08 season, he was placed on waivers and picked up by Vancouver, where he played in 55 games. In the proceeding off season, he was signed by the St. Louis Blues. On August 3, 2010, Weaver left the Blues as a free agent and signed a two-year $1.8 million contract with the Florida Panthers.[ citation needed ]
In the 2013–14 season, his fourth with the Panthers, Weaver was traded to Montreal Canadiens for 5th round draft pick in 2015 NHL Entry Draft on March 4, 2014. [2]
On May 15, 2015, it was announced by Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin, that Weaver will not return to the Montreal Canadiens next season. [3] Having gone un-signed over the summer, on October 5, 2015, Weaver announced his retirement from professional hockey. [4]

Emmanuel Legace is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender, who played most notably in the National Hockey League for the Detroit Red Wings, and later the St. Louis Blues. Legace also enjoyed spells with the Los Angeles Kings, Carolina Hurricanes, and Iserlohn Roosters of the DEL. He finished his playing career for the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, for whom he is the career leader in goaltending wins. Legace currently serves as the goaltending coach for the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
James Tower Campbell is an American political candidate and former professional ice hockey player. He played 285 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim before finishing his career in Europe. Campbell was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, but grew up in Westborough, Massachusetts.
Félix "The Cat" Potvin is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Darren William Rumble is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. Rumble played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League, but played most of his career with various minor league teams. In 2003–04 season Rumble spent majority of the season in the NHL, played only 5 games for Tampa Bay. Rumble spent most of the season as a healthy reserve. Tampa Bay Lightning still had his name inscribed on the Stanley Cup even though he did not officially qualify. The following year he played a handful of games for the Lightnings' AHL Affiliate Springfield Falcons before retiring and becoming assistant coach of the team. Rumble later became head coach of the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL), holding the position until January 2010. In 2013, he was assistant coach for the Icelandic National hockey team in the IIHF Hockey World Championship Div.II in Croatia.
Jean-Phillipe Marc Joseph Côté is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He appeared in 27 games in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning. He is the son of former NHL player Alain Côté.
Alexandre Remi Picard is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Steve Bernier is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. Selected in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks, Bernier would play for the Sharks, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils and the New York Islanders during his time in the NHL.
Álvaro Montoya is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played for parts of nine seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Arizona Coyotes, New York Islanders, Winnipeg Jets, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, and Edmonton Oilers. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft after a three-year career with the University of Michigan. Montoya is the first Cuban-American to play in the NHL. Montoya was born in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in nearby Glenview, Illinois.
Brad Tapper is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Atlanta Thrashers over parts of three seasons. After retiring from playing, he remained active in hockey as a coach. He is currently an assistant coach with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
