Miniatures is a point-and-click adventure game developed and published by Other Tales Interactive. It was released in 2024 for iOS, Linux, MacOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows.
Miniatures is an adventure game that consists of clicking on objects to direct actions. During one section, the player progresses by dragging the screen along as though flipping through a book. Occasionally, the game is broken up by simple puzzles. [1]
The game consists of four separate vignettes.
Miniatures was released by Other Tales Interactive, an independent game studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their previous game, released in 2019, was Tick Tock: A Tale for Two. [2]
A demo was released for Steam Next Fest [3] preceding the full release on November 14, 2024. [4]
Ben Sledge of TheGamer scored the game a 4/5, concluding that, "It's beautiful, melancholy, and purposefully weird, and I really appreciate that." [5] Nintendo Life's Jess Elizabeth Reed gave the game an 8/10, praising each vignette's storytelling in very few words. [6]
Destructoid on the other hand rated Miniatures a 5/10, feeling that the game lacked depth. [7]
Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo is a 1995 video game and the third of seven adventure games in the Putt-Putt series of games developed and published by Humongous Entertainment. The animation style also changed with this game to hand-drawn animation, in contrast to the pixel art graphics of the previous two games, following the studio's jump from DOS to Windows with Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds the previous year. The game was reissued on April 19, 1999. In November 2011, the game became the first Humongous Entertainment game to be rereleased for iOS and Google Play. Developed by Nimbus Games Inc., the iOS version of this game released by Atari was discontinued. A Nintendo Switch version was released in February 2022, followed by the PlayStation 4 version on the PlayStation Store in November the same year.
NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits is a platform game, originally released for WiiWare by Spanish developers Over the Top Games. It was released in 2009 for the PAL regions on June 19, and for North America on August 10. The game was later released in Japan on May 11, 2010. Versions for Windows and Mac OS X were released on September 27, 2010 through the game's official website and Steam. The game was ported to the iOS as NyxQuest on July 6, 2011 and to the Android on March 20, 2019.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is an adventure and indie game created by Superbrothers and Capybara Games, with music by Jim Guthrie. It was initially released for iOS devices, with a version for Microsoft Windows via Steam coming later. Mac OS X and Linux ports were included with the release of Humble Indie Bundle V, while a port to the Android platform was released as part of the fourth Humble Bundle for Android. Kero Blaster is a platform video game created by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya. It was released in 2014 for PC and iOS and is the first major project of Pixel since Cave Story in 2004. The game places a heavy emphasis on shooting and received positive reviews on both platforms. A short, free demo titled Pink Hour was made available a month before the full game's release. A short, free companion game and sequel to Pink Hour titled Pink Heaven was released in November 2015, coinciding with the new Kero Blaster update.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a comedy point-and-click adventure video game created by the German developer King Art Games. The game, a sequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales, was published by Nordic Games on 20 February 2015 for Linux, Microsoft Windows and OS X. Undertale is a 2015 role-playing video game created by American indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magical barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface, some of which may engage in combat. The combat system involves the player navigating through mini-bullet hell attacks by the opponent. They can opt to pacify or subdue monsters in order to spare them instead of killing them. These choices affect the game, with the dialogue, characters, and story changing based on outcomes.

Inked: A Tale of Love is a puzzle-platform game developed by Somnium Games and published by Starbreeze Publishing for Microsoft Windows. It was demoed at the 2016 Reboot Infogamer convention in Zagreb and released on 26 April 2018 via Steam. An iOS and Android version was released in February 2021. Coffee Talk is a visual novel developed by Indonesian indie studio Toge Productions, and released on 29 January 2020 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game was released in Japan for Nintendo Switch a day later on 30 January 2020. The game follows a barista working in a coffee shop in a fantasy version of Seattle as they listen to the concerns of the coffee shop's various patrons and prepare drinks. The game features an aesthetic inspired by 90s anime, pixel art, and the lofi chillhop genre of music.
Happy Game is a point-and-click adventure game video game developed and published by Amanita Design. The game was first released on October 28, 2021 for Microsoft Windows and macOS via Steam and Nintendo Switch, and was later released for iOS and Android on February 2, 2023.
Scribblenauts is a series of action puzzle video games primarily developed by independent studio 5th Cell. The series is owned and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
