Miracle Child is a 1993 American made-for-television drama film based on the novel Miracle at Clement's Pond by Patricia Pendergraft. It was filmed in Archer, Florida [1] and featured historic homes and churches in and around Archer. It was produced by Steve White Productions. [2] It is part of the Disney Family Classics line. [3]
A despairing young widow (Crystal Bernard) who abandons her baby at pond-side among bulrushes and a traveling man (John Terry) who's fighting to reclaim his own son (Graham Sack) are drawn together. A baby plops out of a rainy, stormy sky into the arms of the town's beloved, vaguely addled spinster (Grace Zabriskie). Miracles suddenly reverse the fortunes of the town as drought and unemployment disappear, only to be replaced by boosterism and greed. [4]

Ross Macdonald was the main pseudonym used by the American-Canadian writer of crime fiction Kenneth Millar. He is best known for his series of hardboiled novels set in Southern California and featuring private detective Lew Archer. Since the 1970s, Macdonald's works have received attention in academic circles for their psychological depth, sense of place, use of language, sophisticated imagery and integration of philosophy into genre fiction. The Twilight of the Golds is an American drama film directed by Ross Kagan Marks, based upon the play The Twilight of the Golds by Jonathan Tolins. The film was screened at the January 1997 Sundance Film Festival prior to its broadcast premiere on Showtime in March 1997. The cast includes Jennifer Beals, Brendan Fraser, Garry Marshall, Faye Dunaway and Jon Tenney. The film deals with the issue of fictional genetic testing, and asks the question – if testing could reveal the sexual orientation of your unborn child, and you knew he or she would be gay, would you abort?
