MISC. is the third studio and second full length album by the Japanese visual kei band DIMLIM, released on January 28, 2020 by DUM LABEL. The album was planned to be released in December 2019 but has been postponed to January 28. [1]
The album distanced itself from the band's original sound, which was previously influenced by deathcore and metalcore, now fit into the genres of math rock and alternative rock. [2] In an interview with JaME World, Sho said that the name of the album "comes from the essence of several places", thus giving the name miscellany. Regarding the musical genre of the album, Retsu said "we think DIMLIM is its own musical genre [...]" and Sho said that "there have been big changes in the way we see the music [...]". [3]
DIMLIM announced their first overseas tour in 2020, promoting the album's release. It has dates in Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Russia. [4] The concert in Mexico was canceled due to low demand but afterwards was reconfirmed by another company. [5]
The concerts were scheduled to take place at the beginning of the year, but they were all postponed for the end of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [6]
The band switched to English the name of the tracks with the original name in Japanese (not necessarily the translation) only for overseas digital releases. [7] The album booklet came with the lyrics in Japanese, but most of the songs are sung in English. [8]

Visual kei is a music scene and movement that originated in Japan during the late 1980s, influenced by glam rock and other 1980's rock music styles. It is sometimes called a genre, a style, or a music scene, similar to how Shibuya-kei is described.
Mucc is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. The classic line up of Tatsuro on vocals, Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified in 1999 following the departure of original bassist Hiro. After 24 years, Satochi retired from the music industry in October 2021, leaving Mucc a trio. They have released 16 studio albums, with 2020's Aku being their highest-charting. Although predominately a heavy band both lyrically and musically, Mucc is known for switching between music genres and styles frequently. Kerrang! included their fourth studio album Kuchiki no Tō (2004) on a list of 13 essential Japanese rock and metal albums.
Blue Blood is the second studio album by Japanese rock band X Japan, then known as simply X. It was released on April 21, 1989, by CBS/Sony as the band's major label debut. Blue Blood sold more than 700,000 copies, reached number 6 on the Oricon chart and stayed on the chart for more than 100 weeks. The album's singles would also reach the top five on the chart. In 2007, Rolling Stone Japan ranked Blue Blood number 15 on their list of the "100 Greatest Japanese Rock Albums of All Time".
Golden Bomber is a Japanese visual kei "air" rock band formed in 2004 and signed to the independent label Euclid Agency. Despite not actually performing the instruments themselves during concerts, they have gained popularity through their theatrical "live shows".
Pentagon (ペンタゴン) is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2014. Members Chizuru and Minpha started the limited time band 'Call Me ...' as a two-member unit, with Taku on guitar and Atsuki on drums. After 13 December 2014, Atsuki and Taku became official members and Yutori was added to the band.
Mejibray was a Japanese visual kei rock band which came together on June 18, 2011, founded by their vocalist, Tsuzuku, and signed on to White Side Group. Their musical style is heavy metal and hard rock, while also taking elements from genres such as djent or nu metal. The band currently consists of the members MiA (guitar), and Meto (drums). Previously, Ippu had been the guitarist of Mejibray, but left in October 2011. It was revealed on December 31, 2017, by MEJIBRAY's management that bassist Koichi and vocalist Tsuzuku had terminated their contracts with the company, leaving the future of the band uncertain.

The group are an independent band on the label DPR Japan, consisting of members Ricko, Sena, the main songwriter of the songs, Boogie and Zyean. They have released 7 albums and 6 singles so far. It was ranked at the 12 position on the JRock News's top 15 visual kei and Japanese rock artists of 2019. Jiluka is described as "Modern metal visual kei".

They have been part of the independent label B.P Records since 2009.
Acme is a Japanese visual kei rock band active since 2017, with the concept of "a delinquent boy in an imaginary world". Formed by Chisa, Shogo, Rikito and Hal, they have toured several times across United States, being the only visual kei band to complete a full US tour in 2021.
