Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.

Miss International 2018, the 58th Miss International pageant, was held on 9 November 2018, at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Kevin Lilliana from Indonesia crowned her successor Mariem Velazco from Venezuela at the end of the event. This marks Venezuela's eighth victory at Miss International - the most in the pageant's history. This is the third time in Miss International history that the finals night saw the return of the previous year's runners-up to crown their respective successors. This year Miss International comeback edition with the theme "Cheer All Woman" alongside Miss International Japan 2019.

Angeline Flor Pua was crowned as Miss Belgium 2018 in the conclusion of the pageant. After her crowning, Angeline Flor Pua underwent racist abuse on social media for not being Belgian enough to represent the country at any international pageant. This is the only edition where the Top 3 represent Belgium at Miss Universe Pageant.
Mexicana Universal 2020 was the 3rd edition of the Mexicana Universal beauty pageant held on November 29, 2020. 30 candidates from all over Mexico competed for the national title. Claudia Lozano of Nuevo León crowned Andrea Meza of Chihuahua at the end event. Meza represented Mexico at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant which she won to become the third Mexican Miss Universe.
