Miss Korea 2009 was a beauty pageant that was held on July 8, 2009 at the Sejong Center, sponsored by the Korean newspaper HanKook Daily News. Approximately 56 women [2] from around the world competed in Seoul, South Korea and seven, equivalent to semi-finalists were selected by a panel of judges. The 1st-place winner, Kim Joo-ri, was crowned the official Miss Korea and later competed in Miss World 2009 and Miss Universe 2010. Additionally, there were two sun (선) finalists, known as the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively. The 1st Runner Up competed in Miss International 2009 and the 2nd Runner Up competed in Miss Earth 2009.

Võ Hoàng Yến is a Vietnamese beauty pageant contestant, model and occasional actress. She won the Vietnam Supermodel 2008 contest and is the 1st runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2008. She represented Vietnam in the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas.

The first-place winner was Na Ree, crowned by the official last year winner Lee Ji-sun. Na Ree will complete at Miss Universe 2009 in the Bahamas. Additionally, there are two seon(선) finalists, first runner-up Choi Bo-in went to Miss World 2008 and the second runner-up Kim Min-jeong went to Miss International 2008. Lastly, fourth runner-up Seo Seol-hee represented Korea in Miss Earth 2008 in Manila, Philippines. are chosen.

Kim Joo-ri is a Korean model and beauty queen who was the winner of Miss Korea 2009, and actress. For the first time ever, the Miss Korea winner represented Korea in Miss World 2009, and competed in Miss Universe 2010. She was also crowned as Miss Seoul 2009 before competing in Miss Korea 2009.

Miss Teen USA 2013 was the 31st Miss Teen USA pageant, held on August 10, 2013 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas and was hosted by Australian journalist Karl Jeno Schmid and Miss Teen USA 2003 Tami Farrell. Logan West of Connecticut crowned her successor Cassidy Wolf of California at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the title and the pageant was webcast on the official Miss Teen USA website via Ustream and on Xbox Live.

Miss Gabon is a national beauty pageant in Gabon. The pageant was established in 2001 by Défis de femmes.

Miss Guyana is the national competition in Guyana where the Titleholder/National Winner represents Guyana at the Miss World competition. Guyana first placed at the Miss World competition in 1966 which was the first of six consecutive placements from semifinalist to top 3 finish from 1966 to 1971.[3] The Miss Guyana trademark is under Natasha Martindale directorship.
