Miss International 2009 was the 49th Miss International pageant, held at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, on November 28, 2009. [1] The pageant was originally scheduled to be held on November 7, 2009 at The Venetian Macao in Macau, but the host committee backed out. [2]
Alejandra Andreu of Spain crowned Anagabriela Espinoza of Mexico as her successor at the end of the event.[ citation needed ]

According to the official website, 73 contestants were expected to attend the pageant, but only 65 contestants showed up to compete for the coveted title.
Contestants from Italy and Suriname withdrew before the pageant started. While, contestants from Guam, Guatemala, Kenya, Sudan, Ukraine withdrew 10 days after the pageant started, only 66 contestants continued at the competition. A day before the grand final, Costa Rica and Nigeria confirmed not arrived at Chengdu, China due both of them had visa problems, marking the number of contestants decreased to 64. Sudan finally arrived at Chengdu to attend the preliminary judging, rehearsals and the grand final with others contestants. The number of contestants finally increased to 65. [3]

Miss Hong Kong Pageant, or Miss HK (港姐) for short, is an annual beauty pageant organised by local Hong Kong television station, TVB. The pageant was established in 1946, and acquired by TVB in 1973.
Miss France is a national beauty pageant in France held annually in December. The competition was first held in 1920, and has been organized continuously since 1947. The trademark for the pageant is owned by the company Miss France SAS, and is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine France. The competition is aired on TF1.
Miss Chinese International Pageant, or MCI for short, is an annual international beauty pageant, organized and broadcast by TVB, a network television station in Hong Kong. It was established in 1988 and the Chinese name of the pageant was rebranded in 2007.
Fala Chen is a Chinese and American actress. After winning the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2005, Chen made her debut as an actress in the Hong Kong cinema. Selena Lee Sze-wa, former stage name Selena Lee Sze-Wan, is a Hong Kong-born actress and former beauty pageant contestant.
Miss International 2008, the 48th Miss International pageant, was held on November 8, 2008 at The Venetian Macao in Macau, the presenters are Eric Tsang, Dodo Cheng, Astrid Chan. 63 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown, marking the biggest turnout in the 48 years of the pageant, surpassing the previous of 61 during last year pageant. The contestants also paid a visit to Hong Kong, Tokyo. Miss International 2007, Priscila Perales of Mexico, crowned her successor Alejandra Andreu of Spain as the new Miss International.
Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquín is a Mexican model and beauty queen, She was crowned Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2007. She was a top 15 semifinalist in the Miss World 2008 pageant. The following year, she became the second Mexican to win the title of Miss International 2009.
Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 22, 2009 at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. Karla Henry of Philippines crowned her successor Larissa Ramos of Brazil at the end of the event.

Nuestra Belleza México 2010, the 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México beauty pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Ontiveros was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder and Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete. She was the fourth Jalisciense to win this Title. Thirty-one contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title.

The Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2021 was the 49th Miss Hong Kong Pageant that was held on September 12, 2021. Miss Hong Kong 2020 winner Lisa-Marie Tse crowned the new Miss Hong Kong 2021 winner, Sabina Mendes de Assunção (宋宛穎), at the end of the pageant. Her official name is Sabina, but she goes by Sabrina.
