Miss International 2016 was the 56th Miss International pageant, held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on October 27, 2016.
Edymar Martínez of Venezuela crowned Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines as her successor at the end of the event. This is the first time in Miss International history that the finals night saw the return of the previous year's runners-up to crown their respective successors.
On February 9, 2016, it was announced by Akemi Shimomura, president of the International Cultural Association, that the 2016 pageant would be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan for first consecutive year on Thursday, October 27, 2016.[ citation needed ]

Miss World 2003 was the 53rd edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China, on December 6, 2003. It was the first time that the Miss World pageant held in China.
Miss World 2005, the 55th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 10 December 2005 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. María Julia Mantilla of Peru crowned her successor Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. 102 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. All contestants competed in three "fast track" events, Beach Beauty, Miss Talent, and Beauty With a Purpose contests. The winner of each competition immediately became one of the fifteen pageant semi-finalists. She became the third Icelandic woman to win Miss World.
Miss Earth 2004 was the fourth edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, on October 24, 2004.
Miss International 2008, the 48th Miss International pageant, was held on November 8, 2008 at The Venetian Macao in Macau, the presenters are Eric Tsang, Dodo Cheng, Astrid Chan. 63 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown, marking the biggest turnout in the 48 years of the pageant, surpassing the previous of 61 during last year pageant. The contestants also paid a visit to Hong Kong, Tokyo. Miss International 2007, Priscila Perales of Mexico, crowned her successor Alejandra Andreu of Spain as the new Miss International.

The Miss Universo Paraguay 2016 pageant was held at AwA Resort on October 1, 2016, to select Paraguayan representatives to 3 major beauty pageants: Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational. It was broadcast live on SNT.
