Miss International Hungary is a national beauty contest for Miss International pageant.

History

On August 12, 2011 Miss International Hungary pageant began, and crowned the first titleholder, Nóra Virágh.[ citation needed ] It was run under organizers Tamas Czegledi, Dr. Szabolcs Gall and Gabor Szilagyi. The winner of Miss International Hungary was expected to be the Ambassador of Peace and Beauty of Hungary. [1] [2] Between 1991 and 2004, Hungarian delegates were appointed by Mr. Adam Fasy Management. Blanka Bakos is the last representative from that organization.[ citation needed ]

On December 17, 2013 Brigitta Ötvös was the first titleholder who placed in Top 5 of the Miss International 2013 pageant. This is the highest placement result in beauty pageant history for Hungary. [3]

In addition to the main title, from 2014 to 2017, the Hungarian representatives for the Miss Grand International pageant were also determined through the Miss International Hungary contest. [4] [5] [6] [7]

On May 16, 2015 Linda Szunai was appointed as Miss International Hungary by the Miss International Hungary Team.[ citation needed ]

This pageant is not related to Miss Universe Hungary or Miss World Hungary contests.

The 5th annual Miss International Hungary pageant was postponed for two months after Linda Szunai was appointed as Miss International Hungary 2015. The reigning title Miss International in fifth edition automatically competed in the 2016 Miss International beauty pageant.[ citation needed ]

Miss Grand Namibia was a Namibian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by Magnolia Kuhanga, the chairperson of the Windhoek-based organizer, Magnolia Events Management. The pageant was declared defunct in late 2018 after the incorporation between the aforementioned national organizer and Miss Grand International Limited was not extended and no other domestic organizer was interested in the license. Originally, the winners of the contest, which was held three times—in 2015, 2016, and 2018—were expected to represent Namibia on its international parent platform, Miss Grand International. However, all three winners withdrew from the international pageant for unspecified reasons; only one of them was replaced by an appointed representative.

Miss Grand Nigeria was a Nigerian female beauty pageant founded in 2015 by a Lagos-based event organizer chaired by Loveth Ajufoh, QLA Nigeria. The winners of the contest, which was held individually twice, represented Nigeria at its parent competition, Miss Grand International. Previously, the contest's license belonged to AMC Productions, the organizer of the Miss Earth Nigeria pageant, before being transferred to QLA Nigeria Limited, 001 Entertainment – the organizer of The Nigerian Queen, and the Qhue Group. in 2015, 2020, and 2023, respectively.

Miss Grand Slovakia is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Slovak representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when a Miss Slovakia-related personnel, Ján Oklamčák, obtained the license and subsequently appointed Denisa Paseciaková to compete at the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand, where she was named the second runner-up, which is considered the highest and only placement, to date, for Slovak representatives at the mentioned international tournament.

Miss Grand Hungary is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Hungarian representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first introduced in 2013, when the winner of Miss Év Arca 2011, Eszter Tüzes, was nominated to compete in the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand. In 2014, the license was then taken over by a preliminary contest for Miss International in Hungary, Miss International Hungary, where Miss Grand Hungary was considered the supplementary title.

The fifth edition of the Miss Grand International pageant was held at the Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort and Villas Convention Hall, Phú Quốc, Vietnam on October 25, 2017, in which candidates from 77 countries and territories participated. These candidates were elected as the country representatives through different methods, such as through the Miss Grand National which was held to select the country representative for Miss Grand International specifically, or appointed by another national pageant organizer, in which the main winner was sent to compete on other international stages. Some of them were assigned as the representatives without competing at any national pageant in this particular year.
