Miss U.S. International is the official United States preliminary to the Miss International Beauty Pageant (officially titled The International Beauty Pageant). [1] The United States has sent a representative to the Miss International pageant since its inception in 1960. The only year a representative was not sent was in 2006.[ citation needed ]
The current titleholder is Kenyatta Beazer of Maryland who was crowned on July 22, 2022 represented the United States at Miss International 2023 pageant in Japan.
During the early 1960s, the United States was represented by a titleholder called 'Miss National Press Photographer'. [2] [3] From 1963 to 1967, the U.S. titleholder sent was called 'Miss American Beauty', and she was crowned few days before the Miss International finals. [4] [5]
The Miss International Beauty Pageant moved to Japan in 1968. From 1968 to 1970, 'Miss Welcome to Long Beach', was invited to compete at Miss International in Japan. [6] [7]
From 1971 to 1976, Alfred Patricelli, who was the executive director of the Miss World USA competition, was asked to select a U.S. titleholder to compete at Miss International from contestants at the Miss World USA contest. [8] He organized the Miss International USA pageant only 2 times, 1973 and 1975. [9] [10]
From 1977 to 1983, California Beauty Pageant Inc. led by Leonard Stallcup, was the license holder for the U.S. representative to Miss International. [11] They organized Miss California International, and the winner every year represented the U.S. at Miss International as 'Miss American Beauty'. [12]
From 1984 to 1989, the Miss Universe organization was the license holder for the U.S. representative to Miss International, and sent runner-ups of Miss USA to Miss International. In 1987, the U.S. representative's sash was changed back to 'United States'. [13] [14] It is unknown who was in charge of selecting the contestants from 1990 to 2006, but, mostly Californian titleholders were sent to Japan.
Harrison Productions, LLC has been the license holder for Miss International in the United States since 2007 and the winner of the Miss U.S. International pageant competes at the Miss International Beauty Pageant every years.[ citation needed ]
USA holds a record of 32 placements at Miss International.

Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008 prior to her suspension in October 2022, thus returning the said pageants to the Miss Universe Organization.
Miss Teen USA is a beauty pageant that run since 1983 by the Miss Universe Organization for girls aged 14–19. Unlike its sister pageants Miss Universe, which currently broadcasts on JKN18 and Miss USA, this pageant is webcast on the Miss Teen USA website and simulcast on mobile devices and video game consoles. The Miss Universe Organization previously operated Miss Teen USA, as well as Miss USA, until 2020 when the rights to produce both pageants were licensed to Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart prior to her suspension in October 2022, thus returning the said pageants to the Miss Universe Organization. The parent company of all three pageants and the Miss Universe organization remains the same under the licensing agreement: JKN Metaverse Inc., a subsidiary of JKN Global Group.
Miss Venezuela is a national Beauty pageant held in Venezuela. It is preceded by two or three months of preliminary events, with the awarding of corporate prizes. The final televised competition generally lasts about four hours and is broadcast live across Latin America by Venevisión and produced by the networks parent company Cisneros Group, with edited versions to the United States and Mexico on the Univision and Telemundo networks. From 2013 to 2015, the national contest was split into two separate pageants: Miss Venezuela and Miss Venezuela Mundo. The pageant is also closely observed by other countries seeking to level competition due to its illustrious record of pageant victories. In 2016, the Venezuelan franchise for Miss Earth was awarded to Miss Earth Venezuela organized by National Directors Julio César Cruz and Alyz Henrich.
María Stella Márquez de Araneta, often styled as Madame Stella de Araneta, is a Colombian—Filipino pageant director and beauty queen. She grew up in New York City and moved back to Colombia, where she became a pageant titleholder. As Miss Colombia, she was crowned the first Miss International in 1960. She obtained her Filipino citizenship via naturalization in 1970.
The Miss Louisiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Louisiana in the Miss USA pageant.
The Miss South Carolina USA competition, previously known as Miss South Carolina Universe, is the pageant that selects the representative for the state South Carolina in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by that winner. The pageant has been produced by Paula Miles, the sister of Miss South Carolina USA 1979, Janice McDonald, since 1980, and it has been directed by RPM Productions.
The Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm, Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal, and Miss Orb International. The current Mexicana Universal is Melissa Flores of Michoacán, who represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2023 but was unplaced.
The Miss Hawaii USA competition, previously known as Miss Hawaii Universe, is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Hawaii in the Miss USA pageant.
The Miss California Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of California in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It was formed in 1983. This pageant is part of the Miss USA Organization, owned by Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart.
The Miss Oregon Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Oregon in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program selects the representative for the U.S. state of Ohio to compete for the title of Miss America. The pageant is held annually, during the "Miss Ohio Festival" week, at the historic 1,600 seat Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.
Miss United States is a pageant held in the United States for unmarried women between the ages of 20 and 29. She is the first woman from Oklahoma to be crowned as Miss USA.
Miss Chinese Taipei, formerly known as Miss China, is a national beauty pageant in Taiwan since 1960. The first and second place titleholders have the opportunity to represent Taiwan at the third largest international beauty pageant, Miss International. The current 2023 titleholder of Miss Chinese Taipei is Oceana Ling-Kurie.
The Miss Diva is a part of Femina Miss India pageant that primarily selects India's representatives to Miss Universe, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. The pageant also sends representative to Miss Supranational.
The Miss Universe Bulgaria is a national beauty pageant in the Bulgaria that selects Bulgarian representatives to compete in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants: Miss World and Miss Universe and selects five other titleholders to participate in minor international pageants such as Miss Grand International, Miss Asia Pacific, Top Model of the World, Miss Tourism International and Miss Model of the World.
