Miss Yugoslavia (named Miss Serbia and Montenegro between 2003 and 2006) was the national beauty pageant of Yugoslavia, held since 1927 in Kingdom of Yugoslavia up to the breakup of Serbia and Montenegro (FR Yugoslavia) in 2006. It was organized by the company "Miss YU". In 2006, independent Montenegro and Serbia began hosting separate pageants, Miss Montenegro and Miss Serbia, respectively.
Miss Yugoslavia held for the first time in 1927. The main winner represented the country at Miss Europe beauty pageant. The Miss YU also registered to send title holders to Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth pageants. In 2003 the Miss YU renamed as Miss Serbia and Montenegro. A winner represented Serbia and Montenegro at Miss Universe and Miss World.

Miss India or Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in Miss World, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. It is organised by Femina, a women's magazine published by The Times Group. Since 2013, Femina also organises Miss Diva as a separate competition, with representatives competing at Miss Universe.
Miss Venezuela is a national Beauty pageant held in Venezuela. It is preceded by two or three months of preliminary events, with the awarding of corporate prizes. The final televised competition generally lasts about four hours and is broadcast live across Latin America by Venevisión and produced by the networks parent company Cisneros Group, with edited versions to the United States and Mexico on the Univision and Telemundo networks. From 2013 to 2015, the national contest was split into two separate pageants: Miss Venezuela and Miss Venezuela Mundo. The pageant is also closely observed by other countries seeking to level competition due to its illustrious record of pageant victories. In 2016, the Venezuelan franchise for Miss Earth was awarded to Miss Earth Venezuela organized by National Directors Julio César Cruz and Alyz Henrich.

The Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2023 edition, Miss Panamá winners represent Panamá in Miss Universe and the Señorita Panamá winners represent Panama in Miss International. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. In 1982, Señorita Panamá was created by RPC Channel 4 as an alternative to send its winners to the Miss World contest in London. These pageants, along with smaller pageants such as Miss International Panamá and Miss World Panamá celebrated to select delegates for international representations.

Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 September 2013 at Bali International Convention Center, South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. It was the first time in Southeast Asia and it also was the first time in the pageant's history that the event was held in a Muslim majority country. Contestants from 127 countries and territories competed in this year's Miss World pageant, marking the biggest turnout for any beauty pageant globally as of 2024. Yu Wenxia of China crowned her successor Megan Young of the Philippines at the end of the event, marking the only time to date that the Philippines has won the Miss World title. This victory also made the Philippines the third country to win all of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

The first and second place titleholders have the opportunity to represent Taiwan at the third largest international beauty pageant, Miss International. The current 2023 titleholder of Miss Chinese Taipei is Oceana Ling-Kurie.
