Miss USA 1969 was the 18th Miss USA pageant, televised live by CBS from Miami Beach, Florida on May 24, 1969.

Contents

The pageant was won by Wendy Dascomb of Virginia, [1] who was crowned by outgoing titleholder Dorothy Anstett of Washington. Dascomb was the first woman from Virginia to win the Miss USA title, and went on to place as a semi-finalist at Miss Universe 1969.

Miss World America 2017, also referred to as America's Miss World 2017, was the 9th edition of the Miss World America pageant and it was held in the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida and was won by Clarissa Bowers of Florida. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Audra Mari of North Dakota. Bowers went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 2017 Pageant in Sanya, China later that year. She finished in the Top 40 at Miss World.

Miss World USA 1969 was the 8th edition of the Miss World USA pageant and it was held in the Baltimore Civic Center in Baltimore, Maryland and was won by Gail Renshaw of Virginia. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Johnine Leigh Avery of Washington. Renshaw went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1969 Pageant in London later that year. She finished as 1st Runner-Up at Miss World. After competing at Miss World, Renshaw resigned her title to get married. Renshaw was replaced by Connie Lee Haggard of Texas who was the 1st Runner-Up of Miss World USA.
