The Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 will be the 57th edition of Miss Universe Malaysia pageant. The pageant will be held on 6 September 2024. [1] Started from this edition, the organization made a change in their eligibility requirements, where they want to promote more inclusivity amongst its contestants. [2]

Miss Universe is an annual international major beauty pageant that is run by a Thailand and Mexican-based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants.

Miss Universe 1993 was the 42nd Miss Universe pageant, held on 21 May 1993 at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico. At the event's conclusion, Dayanara Torres of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Universe by outgoing titleholder Michelle McLean of Namibia. Seventy-nine contestants competed in the pageant.

The Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2024 edition, Señorita Panamá winners represent Panamá in Miss Universe and Miss International. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. In 1982, Señorita Panamá was created by RPC Channel 4 as an alternative to send its winners to the Miss World contest in London. Joannabelle Ng of Sabah was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Levy Li of Terengganu at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant at Nassau, The Bahamas.

Miss Malaysia 1969, the 4th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia, was held on 23 June 1969 at the Johore Diamond Jubilee Hall, Grand Mutiara Hotel, Johor. Sabrina Loo of Penang was crowned by the wife of Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil, Tengku Sahariah.

Miss Universe Malaysia 2019, the 53rd edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia, was held on 7 March 2019 at the Majestic Araneta Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur. Shweta Sekhon of Kuala Lumpur was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Jane Teoh of Penang at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant in Atlanta, United States.

Francisca Luhong James is a Malaysian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2020. She represented her country at Miss Universe 2020, and did not reach the top 21, marking the 50 years of unplacement for Malaysia at Miss Universe since Josephine Lena Wong at Miss Universe 1970.

Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 was the 55th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant which was held on 7 October 2022 at M Resort and Hotel, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. Miss Universe Malaysia 2020, Francisca Luhong James crowned Cheam Wei Yeng at the end of the event. She represented Malaysia in Miss Universe 2022.
