Miss Universe Thailand 2017 was the 18th edition of the Miss Universe Thailand pageant held at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok on 29 July 2017. [1] The previous winner, Chalita Suansane from Samut Prakan crowned Maria Poonlertlarp at the end of the event.
The coronation pageant was broadcast live on Channel 3 Thailand. Poonlertlarp later represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2017 in Las Vegas, United States and finished in the top five. One of the second runners-up, Paweensuda Drouin represented Thailand at Miss Earth 2017 and reached the top eight. [2] Drouin was the last Thai representative at Miss Earth chosen by Miss Universe Thailand, and became the first second runner-up of the pageant to compete in Miss Earth instead of first runner-up as in previous years.

Miss Earth Thailand is a national beauty pageant given to a Thai woman to represent Thailand at the Miss Earth pageant, an annual international major beauty pageant that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility.
Chanyasorn Sakornchan, nicknamed Fah is a Thai actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who held the Miss Thailand Universe 2011 title and she was a contestant in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Miss Universe Thailand is a beauty pageant that has been held annually since 2000 to select Thailand's representative to the Miss Universe pageant. The competition is a continuation of the Miss Thailand pageant which had selected Thailand's representative to the Miss Universe pageant from 1954 up until 1999.

The contestants camped in Roi Et. before flying back to Bangkok for the final stage. Chalita Yaemwannang, Miss Universe Thailand 2013, crowned her successor at the end of this event.
Miss Universe Thailand 2015, the 16th Miss Universe Thailand pageant was held at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok on July 18, 2015. Forty entrants from countrywide camped in Ubon Ratchathani before flying back to Bangkok for the final stage. Since this year, Miss Universe Thailand has gotten the license of Miss Earth again.

Miss Thailand World 2018 and Miss World 2018 Runner-Up Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan of Bangkok crowned Narintorn Chadapattarawalrachoat of Pathum Thani at the end of the event. Narintorn will represent Thailand at Miss World 2019 in London.

Porsild represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador, and was the first runner-up.
