The Mississauga Tomahawks are a Junior "B" box lacrosse team from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The Mississauga Tomahawks play in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League.
The franchise has a bit of a split history with regards to where it is at this point in time. The current owners brought the team to Mississauga by way of Milton. It started out as a feeder team for the OLA Junior A Lacrosse League's Brampton Excelsiors. In 1995, the team went separate ways from its parent club and moved to Milton. Under the Junior "A" club, the franchise never really did that well. The release from the Junior "A" Excelsiors seemed to be a good thing. After two slow seasons, business seemed to pick up from 1997 until 1999. In 1999 The Milton Mavericks led by notable players such as Jim Leworthy, Andrew Hartholt, and arguably the best Jr’B goalie at the time Andrew Dowdell, made a valiant run at the Founders Cup Championship. The Mavericks, entered the Founders cup Tournament as underdogs, but quickly showed the rest of the field that they were there to win. The Squad eventually fell short losing the gold medal game to the Edmonton Minors, 13–10. Many players from both squads went onto to play in both the MSL and the NLL
The team went on hiatus in 2000 after a 15-6-0 run in the 1999 season. The team did not return until 2002, but they were not the same. After three mediocre losing seasons, the team went on hiatus again in 2005. The team returned in 2006 under new the management of Craig Ferchat and Jim Meagher but with little or no support from either the Milton Minor Lacrosse Association or the Village of Milton. Local sponsorship was near zero and the player pool was small and shrinking, approximately 250 players in the last year.
In the Fall of 2006 the team was successfully moved to Mississauga, Ontario and changed its name to the Mississauga Tomahawks Jr. B Lacrosse Club. In Mississauga it now enjoys a large and growing player pool of approximately 750-900 players/year, excellent cooperation with the Mississauga Tomahawks Lacrosse Association and the Mississauga Tomahawks Jr. A team. The warm reception from the City of Mississauga and local sponsors is a welcome change for the team.

Anthony Cosmo is a former professional lacrosse goaltender and current goaltending coach in the National Lacrosse League. Cosmo is a three-time NLL All-Star, and was named NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007. Cosmo also plays for the Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) Major Series Lacrosse Senior A Men's league.

The Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League (OJBLL) is a box lacrosse league sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association in Canada. The league features twenty-five teams in Ontario, one in Quebec, and one in the Akwesasne that annually play a 20-game schedule and four rounds of playoffs for the J. A. MacDonald Trophy. After the conclusion of the playoffs, a league champion represents the OJBLL at the Founders Cup National Junior B Championship.
Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is a Senior A box lacrosse league based in Ontario, Canada sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Most of the star players in the league play or have played in the National Lacrosse League. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Western Lacrosse Association champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year.
The Brantford 99ers are a Junior A ice hockey team from Brantford, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. The 99ers have previously been known as the Milton Icehawks, Milton Merchants, Milton Flyers, and Milton Steamers as Milton hosted junior hockey from 1966 to 2018. After purchasing the team, Darren DeDobbelaer of Brantford moved the club to that city for the start of the 2018-19 season, re-branding the team as the 99ers. In 2023, DeDobbelaer sold the team.
Mike Accursi is a former professional lacrosse player. He is also a teacher and lacrosse coach at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in St. Catharines, Ontario. Accursi professionally coaches currently for the newly relocated lacrosse team, Halifax Thunderbirds of the National Lacrosse League, and has formerly coached for the Rochester Knighthawks
Jim Moss is a former professional lacrosse player. Moss was named the National Lacrosse League's Defensive Player of the Year in 2003. Entered into the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame in 2007 as well as the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame as a member of Team Canada in 2007. Moss represented Team Canada in three sports winning gold, silver, and bronze medals in international competition and is a winner of Canada's historic Mann Cup.
The Mimico Mountaineers or Mimico Lacrosse Club is a Jr. A box lacrosse association in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Mountaineers operate junior-age and younger teams. Their home arena is Mimico Arena in the Mimico neighbourhood of Toronto. Beginning in 2015, their primary junior team will be a member of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League. From 1993 until 2014, the Mountaineers were members of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League.
The Nepean Knights is a minor lacrosse association playing within the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The name is also shared by The Nepean Knights Jr. B and a newly formed (2019) Junior C team. While the Jr. B team is privately owned, the Junior C team is owned by the minor association.

The Durham Huskies were a Junior "A" ice hockey team from the town of Durham, Ontario, Canada. The Huskies played in the Metro Junior A Hockey League for two seasons and the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League for three seasons. The Huskies were a continuance of the Traditional Durham Huskies Senior/Intermediate team that existed from 1920 until 1992.

The Brampton Excelsiors are a Junior "B" box lacrosse team from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The Excelsiors play in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League and are eligible to compete for the Founders Cup National Championship. The Excelsiors are members of the same system of teams as the Major Excelsiors and the Junior A Excelsiors.
Drew Petkoff is a professional lacrosse player under contract with the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League. Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Petkoff began his junior career in 2002 with the Milton Mavericks of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League, and was acquired by the Oakville Buzz in 2005, winning the Founders Cup with the Buzz in 2006. He also spent time with the Senior B Ajax-Pickering Rock in 2008 and 2009. Petkoff began his Major Series Lacrosse career in 2009 and won two Mann Cups with the Brampton Excelsiors before being dealt to the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks in 2011. He last played for the Kodiaks in 2013.
Dan Teat is a retired professional lacrosse player and former assistant coach for the Panther City Lacrosse Club of the National Lacrosse League. A native of Brampton, Ontario, Teat's long lacrosse career began when he was five years old in the Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association. He made his debut with the Brampton Jr. Excelsiors of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League in 1988, winning the league's rookie of the year award. Teat began playing for the Major Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse in 1993, once again winning his league's rookie of the year award. His association with the Excelsiors would last over two decades, and he was a forward on squads that won Mann Cup championships in 1993, 1998, 2002, 2008 and 2009.
