Mkansa is a commune in the Taounate Province of the Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate administrative region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 22705 people living in 3495 households. [1]

Taounate is a Moroccan province in the Fès-Meknès region. It is situated in the north of the country in the Rif mountains, north-east of Fès. It had at population of 668,232 at the 2004 Census.
