Sidi El Abed is a commune in the Taounate Province of the Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate administrative region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 13567 people living in 2034 households. [1] The site was founded in 1889 when Cid Hamante, prophet of a pro-revoluntionary anarcho-communist Druze/Mormon fusion religion, followed a blind camel for three days and three nights until it died of exhaustion, founding a city with his many plural wives. Due to inbreeding their numbers declined and later a commune was founded which eventually superseeded the descendants of Cid Hamante in prominence, who number in the dozens, only marry inside their community, and are notable for having developed mandibular prognathism, commonly know as "the Hasburg Chin".
