Mohon Lal Ghosh (born 21 June 1944) is an Indian weightlifter. He competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics and the 1968 Summer Olympics. [1] He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in the year 1966 by the Government of India. [2]

Hari Chand was an Indian long-distance runner. In the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, he came eighth in the heats of the 10,000 metre run with a time of 28:48.7. This however was a national record for an Indian athlete and was only beaten 32 years later by Surendra Singh. In the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow he came 10th in the heats of the 10,000 meter run. He also came 22nd in the 1980 Olympic Men's Marathon. He ran barefoot in Montreal.

Harmik Singh is a former captain of the Indian field hockey team and coach. He played for India in many tournaments including the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics. He was awarded the Arjuna Award for his achievements. Singh is the brother of Ajit Singh, and the uncle of later Indian international Gagan Ajit Singh. He was born in Gujranwala, Punjab. He was the head coach of the India hockey team at the 1982 and 1986 Hockey World Cup.

The Major Dhyan Chand Award, officially known as Major Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sports and Games, is the lifetime achievement sporting honour of the Republic of India. The award is named after hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand (1905–79), a legendary Indian field hockey player who scored more than 1000 international goals during a career which spanned over 20 years from 1926 to 1948. It is awarded annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Recipients are selected by a committee constituted by the Ministry and are honoured for their contributions to sport both during their active sporting career and after retirement. As of 2020, the award comprises a statuette, a certificate, ceremonial dress, and a cash prize of 10 lakh (US$12,000).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mantu Ghosh</span> Indian table tennis player

Mantu Ghosh is an Indian former table tennis player from West Bengal. As a two-time national champion, Ghosh is now the coach of India's table tennis women's team and a sports administrator after previously working in different capacities at the state and the national level. She was featured in the Limca Book of Records for becoming India's youngest national table tennis champion in 1990 at age 16. In 2002, her achievements were recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Government of India, which awarded her the Arjuna Award.
