Molly Tay (born 13 August 1952) is a Singaporean former swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre butterfly at the 1964 Summer Olympics. [1] Tay competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics under the Malaysia flag. She failed to qualify from her heats.
Tay studied at Methodist Girls School and later Anglo-Chinese School. [2] During her mid-twenties, Tay studied at Brigham Young University in the United States. [2]
Tay started swimming competitively at the age of 8. [2] At 12 years old, Tay went to 1964 Summer Olympics at Tokyo, Japan where she failed to qualify from her heats in the 100m butterfly event. [2]
At the 1965 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games (SEAP Games), Tay won silver medal for the 200m freestyle event, losing to fellow Singaporean swimmer Pat Chan. She won the silver medals for the 100m and 200m backstroke, losing both events to Cambodia's Chuon Kun. She also won the bronze medal in the 400m freestyle. [2] She was also part of the 4 x 100m medley relay and 4 x 100m freestyle team which won the gold medals.
At the 1966 Asian Games, Tay with her sister, Tay Chin Joo, Chan and Jovina Tseng won the bronze medal for the 4 x 100m freestyle team event. At the 1967 SEAP Games, Tay won silver medal for the 200m freestyle losing to Chan again. She won the silver medal for 100m backstroke event and the bronze medals in the 100m freestyle and the 200m backstroke events. [2] At the 1969 SEAP Games, Tay won silver medals again for the 100m and 200m backstroke events and the bronze medal in the 200m freestyle event. [2]
After graduating from Brigham Young University, Tay worked as a Financial Analyst for Revlon in New York. [2]
Tay has three siblings who are also national athletes for Singapore; Tay Boon Tiong Wilson (swimming and water polo), Tay Chin Hong Nora (springboard diving), Tay Chin Joo (swimming). [3] [4]
Tay is married and lives in Westchester County, New York. [2]
Jessica Tatiana Long is a Russian-American Paralympic swimmer from Baltimore, Maryland, who competes in the S8, SB7 and SM8 category events. She has held many world records and competed at five Paralympic Games, winning 29 medals. She has won over 50 world championship medals.
Yip Pin Xiu is a Singaporean backstroke swimmer. She is a five-time Paralympic gold medallist and 5 time World Champion, with two world records in the 50 m backstroke S2 and the 100 m backstroke S2. Yip is Singapore's most decorated Paralympian.
Robert "Bobby" Hurley is an Australian swimmer and former World Record holder in the short-course 50 metres Backstroke and 2012 World Champion in the same event. In 2009 he won a bronze medal as a team member on the 4 × 200 m Freestyle relay at the FINA World Championships in Rome. He has five FINA World Championship medals to his name, two gold, one silver and two bronze.
Louise Stephanie Watkin is a British Paralympic swimmer. Watkin swims in the S9 category and represented Great Britain in the 2012 Summer Paralympics, in which she won two silver and two bronze medals. She won one silver and three bronze medals at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.
Tin Maung Ni was a Burmese swimmer who took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics and 1964 Summer Olympics.
Nguyễn Thị Ánh Viên is a Vietnamese swimmer. She swam for Vietnam at the 2016 Olympics. At the 2014 Asian Games, she won Vietnam's first-ever medal in swimming. She has been named Vietnam's Athlete of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. By the end of 2014, she holds the Vietnamese records in 14 of the 17 long-course individual events. At the 2012 Olympics, she swam the 200 Backstroke and the 400 Individual Medley. In addition to her competitive swimming career, Ánh Viên also serves in the Vietnamese army in the rank of major.
Kayla Clarke is an Indigenous Australian swimmer who represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in swimming, and has medalled at the 2010 Australian Disability Age Group Nationals, and 2010 International Paralympic Swimming World Championships, 2009 Queensland State Championships, 2009 Queensland Secondary School Titles, and 2009 Global Games. She competes in a number of events, including the 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley.
Kara Leo is an Australian swimmer. She has been selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in the S14 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke swimming events.
Kosuke Hagino is a Japanese former competitive swimmer who specialized in the individual medley and 200 m freestyle. He is a four-time Olympic medalist, most notably winning gold in the 400 m individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE is a British Paralympic swimmer. Applegate competes in the S14 classification for swimmers with intellectual disabilities, mainly freestyle and backstroke preferring shorter distances. She qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics and on 2 September, Applegate won the gold setting a Paralympic record in the S14 200m freestyle.

Taylor Madison Ruck is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She won two Olympic bronze medals as part of Canada's women's 4×100 metre and 4×200 metre freestyle relay teams at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Ruck won eight medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Her eight medal performance of one gold, five silver, and two bronze tied her with three other athletes for the most all-time at a single Commonwealth Games, as well as making her the most decorated Canadian female athlete ever at a single Commonwealth Games. Ruck is the all-time leading medallist at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships having won nine gold, two silver, and two bronze over the course of the 2015 and 2017 editions.
