Hollywood Rose was an American glam metal group formed in 1983. They are best known as the precursor for what would eventually become Guns N' Roses. The group was founded by Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Chris Weber, while they were aided during live shows by Rick Mars, Johnny Kreis, Steve Darrow and Andre Troxx. Rose, Stradlin and Weber, along with Kreis, recorded a five-song demo in 1984. However, after a number of lineup changes, which includes Weber and Kreis being replaced by Slash and Steven Adler as well the departure of Stradlin, the group disbanded the same year.

The Appetite for Destruction Tour, by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, promoted their debut album Appetite for Destruction, released in July 1987. During its 16-month duration, the band opened for bands The Cult, Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden and Aerosmith, and headlined shows across four continents.

The Early Days of Guns N' Roses was what the first series of concerts by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses are referred to as. Before embarking on the Appetite for Destruction Tour in 1987 after the group's breakthrough success, the band played at least 60 shows. After playing a few shows with early members on June 6, 1985 the band played their first show with what became known as the "classic line-up" of singer Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. The band's trek on the West coast from June 6 to June 12, 1985 became known as "The Hell Tour" due to the difficulties the band faced touring.
