Monty Sharma (born 17 April 1970) is a music composer from India scoring music for Bollywood. He is popular for being the background music composer for Black (2005), Ram-Leela (2013) and music director for Saawariya (2007). [2] He is cousin of composer Mithoon and nephew of music composer Pyarelal Sharma of music composer duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal.
Monty Sharma was born on 17 April 1970 in Mumbai. [3] He started learning music at the age of five and had the opportunity to learn under the guidance of his grand father Pandit Ram Prasad Sharma. Monty is nephew of Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma of Laxmikant-Pyarelal fame.[ citation needed ] Monty started his career as a professional keyboard player with Laxmikant-Pyarelal for the film Mr. India at the age of sixteen.[ citation needed ] He worked with all the well known music directors such as Laxmikant Pyeralal, R.D. Burman, Rajesh Roshan, Nadeem Shravan, Jatin–Lalit, Ismail Darbar, Sanjeev Darshan for many bollywood films.[ citation needed ]
He was a member of judges' panel of the popular reality show STAR Voice of India 2.[ citation needed ]
Rahul Dev Burman was an Indian music director and actor, who is considered to be one of the greatest and most successful music directors of the Hindi film music industry. From the 1960s to the 1990s, Burman composed musical scores for 331 films, bringing a new level of music ensemble with his compositions. Burman did his major work with legendary singers Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, and Asha Bhosle. He also worked extensively with lyricist Gulzar, with whom he has some of the most memorable numbers in his career. Nicknamed Pancham, he was the only son of the composer Sachin Dev Burman and his Bengali lyricist wife Meera Dev Burman.
The Filmfare Award for Best Music Director is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to the best composer/arranger of a soundtrack. This category was first presented in 1954. Naushad Ali was the first recipient of this award for his song "Tu Ganga Ki Mauj" from the film Baiju Bawra. For the first two years, it was awarded to the composer for a particular song and not the entire album. From 1956 onwards, awards in this category have been given for the entire soundtrack. From 2017, the name of this was category changed from best music direction to music album.

They composed music for about 750 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all notable filmmakers, including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, K. Balanchander, Boney Kapoor, J. Om Prakash, Raj Khosla, L. V. Prasad, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, K. Viswanath and Manoj Kumar.

Jatin–Lalit is a renowned Indian music director duo consisting of brothers Jatin Pandit and Lalit Pandit. They are celebrated for their contribution to Bollywood music during the 1990s and early 2000s. The duo is known for their melodious compositions and has been associated with several hit films. Debt) is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Subhash Ghai, starring Rishi Kapoor and Tina Munim in the lead with Simi Garewal in the critically acclaimed role of Kamini Verma, the murderous wife, which won her a Filmfare nomination. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, also simply known as Ram-Leela, is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language romantic tragedy film written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also composed its original soundtrack. The film was jointly produced by Bhansali and Eros International's Kishore Lulla and stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles with Priyanka Chopra making a special appearance in the song "Ram Chahe Leela". The supporting cast includes Supriya Pathak, Richa Chadda, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, and Abhimanyu Singh. Based on the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Ram-Leela narrates the star-crossed romance between the two eponymous lovers from two gangster families, who fall in love with each other, but are forced to separate due to their families' centuries old rivalry.

The 2014 IIFA Awards, officially known as the 15th International Indian Film Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the International Indian Film Academy honouring the best Hindi films of 2014, took place between 23 and 26 April 2014. The official ceremony took place on 26 April 2014 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the United States for the first time. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela is the soundtrack to the 2013 romantic tragedy film of the same name, directed and co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Bhansali also composed the film's soundtrack, which consists of 11 songs and were written by Siddharth–Garima. The music was influenced by traditional folk music originated from Gujarat and were composed before the film's production. The album was released on 4 October 2013 through the Eros Music label on digital platforms.
