Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London with a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More and managed by Peter Quicke and others.
Andrew Carthy, known professionally as Mr. Scruff, is an English record producer and DJ. He lives in Stretford, Greater Manchester and studied fine art at the Psalter Lane campus of Sheffield Hallam University. Before he could make a living from his music alone, he worked as a shelf stocker in the Hazel Grove branch of Kwik Save.
Trouser Jazz is the third studio album by English disc jockey Andrew Carthy, under the alias, Mr. Scruff. It was released on 16 September 2002 on Ninja Tune. In 2010 it was awarded a gold certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 100,000 copies throughout Europe.
Keep It Unreal is the second studio album by English disc jockey, Andrew Carthy, under the alias Mr. Scruff. It includes the hit single "Get a Move On!", which is an electro swing track built upon samples of Moondog's "Bird's Lament " alongside vocals from T-Bone Walker's "Hypin' Woman Blues." The album ends with "Fish", a track made up of samples about marine life, which is a motif of Mr. Scruff. Samples used in the track include the likes of David Attenborough and David Bellamy. It was re-released in 2009 as a 10th anniversary two disc set.

Clannad is a visual novel developed by Key and published by VisualArt's in 2004. The story follows Tomoya Okazaki, a discontented high school student whose life changes when he meets a girl one year older than him named Nagisa Furukawa. It was adapted by Toei Animation into an animated film in 2007 directed by Osamu Dezaki with music direction by Yoshichika Inomata. Kyoto Animation also adapted it into two anime television series consisting of 49 episodes broadcast between 2007 and 2009, including two original video animation episodes released in 2008 and 2009, directed by Tatsuya Ishihara with music direction by Shinji Orito. The discography of Clannad and its anime adaptations consists of two studio albums, four singles, two soundtracks, and four remix albums.
Gory Days is the second studio album by American rapper and record producer Necro. It was released on November 13, 2001, via Psycho+Logical-Records. Recording sessions took place at Fast Forward Studios in New York. Production was handled entirely by Necro himself, who also served as an executive producer. It features guest appearances from Ill Bill, Captain Carnage, Goretex, Mr. Hyde and The Kid Joe. The album spawned two singles: "Morbid" b/w "Empty The Clip" and "Bury You With Satan" b/w "World Gone Mad". A music video was shot for "Dead Body Disposal" starring Peter Greene.
The Sea Nymphs were an English psychedelic folk band from Kingston upon Thames, England. The group comprised Cardiacs' core members Tim Smith, William D. Drake and Sarah Smith. They are commonly regarded as the quieter side of the parent band. Rooted in folk and chamber music, their sound is much lighter than that of their parent outfit. The songs dispense with the use of loud guitars and drums, in favour of differing vocal rhythms, keyboards and brass instruments. However, the music still contains Cardiacs' trademark off-the-wall chord progressions and sudden time changes, albeit in a slightly gentler fashion.

GoldFish is an electronic duo originating from Cape Town, South Africa, now residing in San Diego, California consisting of Dominic Peters and David Poole. They create dance music containing elements of house, pop, jazz and African music. The band has released a number of albums, including their latest If Summer Was A Sound and previous albums: Late Night People, Three Second Memory, Perceptions of Pacha, Get Busy Living. and their Debut album Caught in the Loop. They were named "Best Pop" at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2014. Their 6th album If Summer Was A Sound is out on 29 September 2023.

Cole World: The Sideline Story is the debut studio album by American rapper and record producer J. Cole. It was released on September 27, 2011, by Roc Nation and Columbia Records, with distribution from Sony Music. The album is his first studio release, following three successful mixtapes. In 2007, the album was first recorded and ended, and then began to take place from 2009 to early 2011, featuring the production that was handled mainly by Cole himself, with some production from high-profile producer No I.D. It includes four guest appearances from Trey Songz, Drake, Jay-Z and Missy Elliott.
"Apple Scruffs" is a song by English rock musician George Harrison from his 1970 triple album All Things Must Pass. He wrote it as a tribute to the die-hard Beatles fans known as Apple scruffs, who used to wait outside the Apple Corps building and other London locations for a glimpse of the band members. This tradition continued after the group's break-up in April 1970, as the scruffs were a regular presence outside the studios where Harrison recorded his album. The song was also issued on the album's second single, as the B-side to "What Is Life".

It was first released as a three-track single in May 1999; then re-released on 6 August 2001 as a three-track single featuring "Ug" as its B-side, which later appears on his next album: Trouser Jazz. The song samples "Bird's Lament" by Moondog, alongside vocals from T-Bone Walker's "Hypin' Woman Blues". It also contains samples of the song "That's the Blues" by Rubberlegs Williams.
