Mua'ausa Joseph Siegfried Walter (born December 15, 1961) is Samoan archer. He was the first Samoan to compete in archery at the Olympic Games, and has also represented Samoa at the Commonwealth Games and Pacific Games. He is the father of Samoan archer Jil Walter. [1] He is president of the Samoa Archery Federation. [2]
Walter was educated at the University of Glamorgan in Wales, graduating with a master's degree in engineering. [3] In 1998 he was appointed deputy general manager for the Samoa Electric Power Corporation, before becoming chief executive from 2003 to 2011. [3] [4] He later worked for the International Institute for Energy Conservation, and as a consultant. [3] He serves on the council of the National University of Samoa, [3] and as chair of the board of the Samoa Fire & Emergencies Services. [5]
At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Muaausa finished his ranking round with a total of 563 points, which gave him the 64th seed for the final competition bracket in which he faced first seed Juan René Serrano in the first round. Serrano won the match by 116-88 and Muaausa was eliminated. Serrano would lose the match for the bronze medal against Bair Badënov. [6]
Walter represented Samoa at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, but did not advance. [7]
He represented Samoa at the 2007 South Pacific Games in Apia, winning silver (alongside Andrew Ah Liki and Tuala Oli Ah Him) in the team competition [8] and bronze in the individual recurve. [9]
At the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu, winning silver (alongside his daughter Jil Walter) in the mixed team recurve. [1] He was paired with her again at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, this time winning gold. [2]
Marie-Pier Beaudet is a former Canadian archer who competed at three Summer Olympic Games between 2004 and 2012. Beaudet made her international debut in 2002, and in addition to the Olympic Games has contested the Pan American Games, in which she won a silver medal in 2007, and the Commonwealth Games, in which she earned a bronze medal in 2010.

The Pacific Games, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from Oceania. The inaugural Games took place in 1963 in Suva, Fiji, and most recently in 2019 in Apia, Samoa. The Games were called the South Pacific Games from 1963 to 2007. The Pacific Games Council (PGC) organises the Games and oversees the host city's preparations. Athletes with a disability are included as full members of their national teams. In each sporting event, gold medals are awarded for first place, silver medals are awarded for second place, and bronze medals are awarded for third place.

The women's recurve individual archery event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was a competition held as part of the archery programme at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, India, from 4 October to 10 October 2010. Archery at the Pacific Games was first contested at the 1971 games at Papeete. Archery at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa was held on 8–12 July 2019. The tournament was played on the outdoor target archery range at the Faleata Sports Complex in Tuanaimato, and included both recurve and compound bow events. Medals were awarded in men's and women's individual contests as well as for mixed team competitions.
