Multimatic Inc. is a privately held Canadian corporation that supplies components, systems and engineering services to the global automotive industry. Headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Multimatic has manufacturing divisions and engineering facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. [1] Multimatic was ranked 93 on the Automotive News 2019 Top 100 Global OEM Parts Suppliers list and 56 in their list of the largest suppliers to North America, ranked by sales of original equipment parts in 2018. Multimatic engineered and constructed the carbon chassis and suspension systems for the RUF CTR3, [3] and Aston Martin One-77, [4] and was Ford's build partner for the third-generation Ford GT. [5] Multimatic also manufactures the lightweight carbon-fibre Monocoque for the Aston Martin Valkyrie. [6]
The company has also provided engineering input on the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, Aston Martin CC100, [7] and Aston Martin Vulcan [8] models.
Multimatic also has a motorsport arm where they help engineer and develop for different racing teams and manufacturers. Currently, they provide engineering assistance to Aston Martin for their Valkyrie AMR-LMH project, [9] and development assistance for both Ford with their Ford Mustang GT3 and Ford Mustang GT4 sports cars. For 2017 LMP2 new regulations, its joint-venture with Riley Tech, was selected as one of the four chassis manufacturers with the Riley-Multimatic MkXXX and its DPi counterpart, the Mazda RT24-P. The chassis was again evolved for 2023 LMDh new regulations in collaboration with Porsche for their LMDh sports prototype, using their chassis in the 963. [10] Multimatic's LMDh chassis has seen considerable success in the 963, having accumulated multiple wins and a championship since the car's debut at the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona. [11] [12]
ORECA is a French racing team and race car constructor, founded in 1973 and run by Hugues de Chaunac, former team manager of F1 team AGS. Oreca has had success in many areas of motorsport. Since the early 1990s the team has concentrated on running sports cars and GT cars.
A Le Mans Prototype (LMP) is a type of sports prototype race car used in various races and championships, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, and Asian Le Mans Series. Le Mans Prototypes were created by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The technical requirements for an LMP include bodywork covering all mechanical elements of the car. As of 2023, there are two classes within Le Mans Prototypes, designated LMP2 and LMP3.

Multimatic Motorsports is the competition arm of Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations. Founded in 1992, the team has competed in numerous racing series, including the Michelin Pilot Challenge, IMSA SportsCar Championship, and FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as starts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, most notably winning in 2016 with Ford Chip Ganassi Racing in the Ford GT GTE. In late 2015, the organization set up Multimatic Motorsports Europe in Greatworth Park, UK, as a stand-alone base for its FIA World Endurance Championship LMGTE Pro effort, campaigning Ford GTs on behalf of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing.
The FIA World Endurance Championship, abbreviated as WEC, is a world championship for automobile endurance racing organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The series supersedes the ACO's former Intercontinental Le Mans Cup which began in 2010 and is the revival of the World Sportscar Championship which ended after the 1992 season. The World Endurance Championship name was previously used by the FIA from 1981 to 1985.

The Porsche 963 is an LMDh sports prototype racing car designed by Porsche and built by Multimatic, to compete in the Hypercar and GTP classes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, respectively. The 963 name draws inspiration from the Porsche 956 and Porsche 962 that raced in the 1980s, which also competed in American and European racing series. The car was revealed at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with a traditional red, white, and black livery.
