The Munster Junior Football Championship is a gaelic football tournament between the six counties of Munster: Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. It is the third-tier county teams playing off in a single-elimination tournament with 2 quarter finals instead of 4 (as of 2014). [1] The cup was first given to the winners in 1957. Kerry have won the most titles, 42 in all. The winner will play against the champions of the other provinces in the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship.

The Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kerry GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland. It is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kerry, and for the Kerry county teams.

Thomas Kenny is an Irish hurling coach and hurler who plays for Cork Intermediate Championship club Grenagh. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 10 years, during which time he usually lined out at midfield before ending his career at right wing-back. Kenny's midfield partnership with Jerry O'Connor is regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy.
The Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship was an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) between 1961 and 2017. Teams consisted of senior, intermediate and junior club players who were not members of their county's senior panel. The competition was established to prevent the stronger counties from dominating the existing Munster Junior Hurling Championship.

Anthony Maher is a Gaelic football coach and player from Duagh, County Kerry. He plays for the Duagh club, the Feale Rangers divisional side and, formerly, at senior level for the Kerry county team.
Colman Corrigan is an Irish former Gaelic footballer, selector and manager. At club level he played with Macroom, divisional side Muskerry and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. Corrigan also served in a number of management roles at club and inter-county levels.
Aidan Walsh is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Championship club Kanturk and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward.
Micheál "Haulie" O'Sullivan is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He played for club side Carbery Rangers, at divisional level with Carbery and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. O'Sullivan is the current manager of the Cork minor football team.
Seán Óg Sheehy was an Irish Gaelic footballer. At club level he played with John Mitchels and at inter-county level with the Kerry senior football team. Sheehy captained Kerry to the All-Ireland SFC title in 1962.

At club he played with Donoughmore and Mitchelstown, divisional side Avondhu and at inter-county level with the Cork minor and junior teams. In a lengthy coaching career, Honohan has had All-Ireland successes at different inter-county levels.
