Beat Happening is an American indie pop band formed in Olympia, Washington in 1982. Calvin Johnson, Heather Lewis, and Bret Lunsford have been the band's continual members. Beat Happening were early leaders in the American indie pop and lo-fi movements, noted for their use of primitive recording techniques, disregard for the technical aspects of musicianship, and songs with subject matters of a childish or coy nature.
"Twist" is a song by English electronic music duo Goldfrapp from their second studio album, Black Cherry (2003). It was released on 3 November 2003 as the album's third single. The song received positive reviews from music critics and was a minor success in the United Kingdom, peaking at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart. In the United States, the single reached number 18 on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.
Beat Happening/Screaming Trees is an EP and a one-off collaboration between Beat Happening and Screaming Trees. Musically, the song has been described as an electropop and indie pop track, with a tropical beat and lyrics that describe a summer romance spent in the beauty of nature. Marina wrote the song about the island city of Lefkada, Greece, where her family once lived.
Replanting Family Tree is a remix extended play by Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land and American musician Arthur Moon. It was released digitally in Denmark on 18 September 2019, through Tusk or Tooth Records. The EP is the companion release to Oh Land's fifth studio album, Family Tree (2019). The former contains four remixes of songs, created by Moon, that originally appeared on the parent album. Additionally, the previously unreleased "When a Hawk Comes By" appears as a bonus track on it, co-written by the sole producer, Thomas Bartlett, and Oh Land's boyfriend, Adnan Zukanovic.
