Carlos Arthur Nuzman is a Brazilian lawyer and former volleyball player, having competed professionally from 1957 to 1972 and represented the national team between 1962 and 1968. Nuzman was part of the first Brazilian male volleyball team at the 1964 Summer Olympics, when the sport debuted at the Olympic Games. He later became an administrator, with the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He was the leader of the Rio de Janeiro bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics and was subsequently appointed head of the Rio 2016 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Janina Déia Chagas da Conceição is a former volleyball player who competed for Brazil in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. She won the gold medal with the Women's National Team at the 1999 Pan American Games. She participated at the 1999 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup.

Her countless achievements are comparable only to those of Larisa Ilchenko, another multi-medalist in World Championships.

The petition also accused Rousseff of criminal responsibility for failing to act on the scandal at the Brazilian national petroleum company, Petrobras, on account of allegations uncovered by the Operation Car Wash investigation, and for failing to distance herself from the suspects in that investigation.
