NCR-UCL Athletic Association

The NCR-UCL Athletic Association was a collegiate sports league based in the Philippines. The NCRUCLAA was a result of the merger between the two fledgling leagues, the National Capital Region Athletic Association and the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association, in 2016. [1] Lack of teams played in the both leagues were the main reason of the merger.

Philippines Republic in Southeast Asia

Bounded by the South China Sea on the west, the Philippine Sea on the east and the Celebes Sea on the southwest, the Philippines shares maritime borders with Taiwan to the north, Vietnam to the west, Palau to the east, and Malaysia and Indonesia to the south.

The National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) is an athletic association in Metro Manila, Philippines established in 1993. It is primarily held during the second semester of a school around November until February. The 23rd season of the NCRAA was opened on January 23, 2016 at the DLSU-D Gym in Dasmarinas, Cavite. De La Salle-Dasmarinas is the tournament host for this season.

The Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA), is a sports league that have member school teams from the Luzon area.

On its first season, 16 teams were competed in different sports disciplines, including centerpiece events Basketball and Volleyball. [2] The league also considered adding 3-on-3 basketball in the line-up of events. [3]

The first season of the NCRUCLAA was opened at the Cuneta Astrodome on January 17, 2017. [3] The Asian Institute of Maritime Studies is the season's host. [3]

Cuneta Astrodome indoor sporting arena in Pasay, Philippines

The Cuneta Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay City, Manila, Philippines. Since the 1993 PBA season, it was better known as the home of the Philippine Basketball Association. when it left the PhilSports Arena, up until the 1998 and since 2001. It hosts the local basketball league sports competition. It has also hosted a slew of other political, evangelical gatherings and church anniversaries. It is also the permanent home of the Philippine Super Liga since 2014.

Asian Institute of Maritime Studies

The Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS) is a merchant marine college in Pasay City, Philippines that provides highly technical learning in terms of maritime education. It is one of the top performing maritime schools in the Philippines. It was founded in 1993 by Captain Wilijado P. Abuid along with his friends.

Most of the basketball games will be covered by Solar Sports and Basketball TV. [3]

Solar Sports

Solar Sports is a Filipino 24-hour cable TV sports channel that is owned by the Solar Entertainment Corporation, and based in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The channel was launched on January 1, 1994 and is available for Sky Cable, Cablelink and contract for local cable operators and via livestreaming.

Basketball TV Philippine all-basketball channel

Basketball TV or BTV is a Philippine pay television television sports channel based in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City. It is owned by the Solar Entertainment Corporation. It was launched on October 1, 2006, rebranding the Sports Plus channel.

At the conclusion of its maiden season, both the NCRAA and UCLAA will be operating as separate entities, making the merger last only for one season. For continuity purposes, the NCRAA considers the lone NCRUCLAA season as its 24th season.

Colegio de San Lorenzo

Colegio de San Lorenzo (CDSL) is a private Catholic college located in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City and in Macabebe, Pampanga. It opened in 1988 in Quezon City and the branch in the founder's hometown of Macabebe opened in 1996.

The Arellano University Chiefs is the athletic team of Arellano University. It is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). The team has several intercollegiate varsity sports teams for women and men at Arellano.

The Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals are the varsity teams of Emilio Aguinaldo College of Ermita, Manila. The Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) is paired as the junior varsity team of the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC). The EAC-ICA Brigadiers is the junior team of EAC Generals.

Lyceum Pirates

The LPU Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and plays in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. Lyceum has fifteen collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), its mother league. They are popularly known as the "Pirata ng Intramuros". The women's varsity team is called the Lady Pirates, which plays in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) while the high school varsity basketball team is from the Cavite Campus' International High School which is called the Junior Pirates. Mall of Asia Arena Indoor arena in Bay City, Philippines

Mall of Asia Arena is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Philippines. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000. The Arena officially opened on June 16, 2012. It has retractable seats and a 2,000-capacity car park building.

Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association

Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association or ISAA is an athletic sport organization in the Philippines formed in 2009 by Lyceum of the Philippines University. The Lyceum of the Philippines University started the process of formation of the league when the institution announced its intention to form a collegiate athletic association in 2004.

Marco Januz "Juno" Sauler is a basketball coach and former basketball player from the Philippines. He is the former head coach of the De La Salle University Green Archers, a collegiate team in the UAAP. Sauler is currently part of coaching staff of the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines

The Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines, abbreviated as FESSAP is a university sports federation based in the Philippines established in 1999. It is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education since 1999 and member of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) since 2009. The university sports body is the sole recognized body for university sports in the Philippines by FISU. FESSAP is also a member of the Asian University Sports Federation since 2000.

The Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) is a sports association of 12 schools, colleges and universities in Cebu, Philippines. The CESAFI was established in 2001.

The United Central Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) is an association of colleges and universities in Central Luzon region aiming to showcase the skills of student-athletes in different sports. It was formally introduced in 2015 in San Fernando, Pampanga coinciding with the formal opening of the 8th season.
