Nuclear RNA export factor 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NXF2 gene. [5] [6] [7]
This gene is one of a family of nuclear RNA export factor genes. It encodes a protein that is involved in mRNA export, is located in the nucleoplasm, and is associated with the nuclear envelope. Alternative splicing seems to be a common mechanism in this gene family. Two variants have been found for this gene. [7]
Nuclear RNA export factor 1, also known as NXF1 or TAP, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the NXF1 gene.
Nuclear pore complex protein Nup98-Nup96 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NUP98 gene.
Splicing factor U2AF 65 kDa subunit is a protein that in humans is encoded by the U2AF2 gene.
Nucleoporin 153 (Nup153) is a protein which in humans is encoded by the NUP153 gene. It is an essential component of the basket of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) in vertebrates, and required for the anchoring of NPCs. It also acts as the docking site of an importing karyopherin. On the cytoplasmic side of the NPC, Nup358 fulfills an analogous role.
Nucleoporin 214 (Nup2014) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NUP214 gene.
RNA-binding protein with serine-rich domain 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RNPS1 gene.
Regulator of nonsense transcripts 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the UPF2 gene.
Splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 6 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SFRS6 gene.
Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein U-like protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the HNRNPUL1 gene.
Eukaryotic initiation factor 4A-III is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EIF4A3 gene.
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1A, X-chromosomal (eIF1A) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EIF1AX gene. This gene encodes an essential eukaryotic translation initiation factor. The protein is a component of the 43S pre-initiation complex (PIC), which mediates the recruitment of the small 40S ribosomal subunit to the 5' cap of messenger RNAs.
NTF2-related export protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NXT1 gene.
mRNA-decapping enzyme 1A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DCP1A gene.
TATA box-binding protein-associated factor RNA polymerase I subunit A is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the TAF1A gene.
Cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor subunit 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CPSF4 gene.
DNA-directed RNA polymerase III subunit RPC6 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the POLR3F gene.
snRNA-activating protein complex subunit 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SNAPC3 gene.
snRNA-activating protein complex subunit 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SNAPC2 gene.
U7 snRNA-associated Sm-like protein LSm10 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LSM10 gene.
The TREX (TRanscription-EXport) complex is a conserved eukaryotic multi-protein complex that couples mRNA transcription and nuclear export. The TREX complex travels across transcribed genes with RNA polymerase II. TREX binds mRNA and recruits transport proteins NXF1 and NXT1, which shuttle the mRNA out of the nucleus. The TREX complex plays an important role in genome stability and neurodegenerative diseases.
