Nachte Raho is a South-Asian dance competition which started out in 2003 as a small competition hosted by the University of Iowa's Indian Student Alliance. [1] It has since changed into one of the largest dance competitions in the Midwest and features the top teams from all across the country.
From 2003 - 2007 Nachte Raho was held at the University of Iowa, [2] Iowa Memorial Union. Due to the increasing success and popularity of the competition, a larger venue was needed. It was held at Hancher Auditorium in 2008. Due to campus wide catastrophic flooding, Nachte Raho returned to the Iowa Memorial Union in 2009 and will be held there until Hancher reopens or a new facility is built.
The top teams are chosen from a wide range of qualified applicants to come to the University of Iowa in Iowa City and perform a five- to ten-minute dance routine. Participating teams perform one of three popular styles of Indian dance: Garba-Raas, Bhangra, and Fusion.
There will be a new format for this year's competition. 3 teams from each category will be invited to Nachte Raho. There will be one winner from each category and an overall grand prize winner. $5,000 in total prize money are given out to the top three teams. The winner of each category will receive $1,000 and the overall grand prize winner will receive $2,500 for a total of $3,500.

Nachte Raho 2016 will be hosting eight teams to compete for a total of $5,000 in prize money. The 2016 Nachte Raho will also be a Bollywood America Bid Point Competition. The competitors of Nachte Raho will be awarded points towards being a bid to Bollywood America 2016 on 9 April 2016 in Cleveland, OH.

Chai Town is an all-male, South Asian a cappella group based at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Formed in 2001, Chai Town is an acapella group and specializes in mixing South Asian and Western music songs together in unique and complex vocal arrangements. Since its inception, Chai Town has released five studio albums and tours across the United States and Canada to perform their music.
The 2002–03 Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team represented University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the 2002-03 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Bill Self's third season at Illinois.
The Illinois Fighting Illini men's golf team represents the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in the sport of golf. The Fighting Illini compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big Ten Conference. They play their home matches at the Atkins Golf Club, which is located five miles from the university's campus. The Fighting Illini are currently led by head coach Mike Small. The Fighting Illini men's golf program has won 20 Big Ten championships, including the last eight consecutively, and in 2013 finished as national runner-up at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, which was the highest finish in the program's history. The Fighting Illini have qualified for the match play portion of the NCAA Championship 8 times since the stroke play/match play format was introduced in 2009, and reached the Final Four in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Dhamakapella is a coed South Asian fusion a cappella group based in Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in the spring of 2005 by students Mayank Prasad, Raksha Soora, and Manoj Nair, Dhamakapella's music has been influenced from both Eastern and Western elements, and mixes contemporary Western songs with popular Eastern music. Since Dhamaka's inception in 2005, the group has recorded and produced albums, EPs, and singles composed entirely of original arrangements written by current members of the group or alumni. As CWRU's largest competitive a cappella group, the group competes nationally and has won twenty-one national titles.

They were led by interim head coach Bill Cubit, and played their home games at Memorial Stadium. They were members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. Due to tie-breaking rules, they received the No. 11 seed in the Big Ten tournament where they defeated Northwestern in the first round before losing to Iowa in the second round.

The Illini finished the season 21–10, 13–7 in Big Ten play to finish in fourth place. Their season ended following the cancellation of postseason tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards are awards given to early-career researchers in chemistry by The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, Inc. "to support the research and teaching careers of talented young faculty in the chemical sciences." The Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar program began in 1970. In 1994, the program was divided into two parallel awards: The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program, aimed at research universities, and the Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program, directed at primarily undergraduate institutions.
