Nadine Beiler (born May 27, 1990) is an Austrian R&B and pop singer, who won the third season of the Austrian casting show Starmania in 2007. On 16 February 2007, she released her first single, "Alles was du willst". [1] Currently, Beiler is a professional singer and songwriter based in both Vienna and Tyrol, where she lives in Innsbruck. Beiler represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with her entry "The Secret Is Love" and came 18th.

Starmania

Pre-final casting

In the summer of 2006, Beiler attended the first round of castings for the Austrian television show Starmania in the casting event in Tyrol. The quality of her singing was both well received by the jury in the first and second round. In the third pre-final round, she gained a ticket for the main show alongside the female candidate she was competing with. Only 16 years old, she was the youngest of the finalists who made through to the final 18.

On 26 January 2007, Beiler won the show in the final evening with a high voting approval of 68% of all votes cast (approximately 650,000 votes were cast by mobile phone by viewers of the show).

On 25 February 2011, Beiler won the Austrian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with her entry "The Secret Is Love", and represented her nation in the second semi-final in Germany. She qualified for the final, in which she ended 18th. In the split jury voting, "The Secret Is Love" ended in 5th place.

Skyroc Records 2014/2015

Beiler started working on a new project under her new alias 'Dice Mora' with UK/Austrian producer Mac Desi with whom she previously worked with on her album I've Got a Voice on the song "Turn Around". Mac Desi produced 5 songs for her new alias Dice Mora in which the first song "Just Like" was released as a digital download in March 2015, along with a music video which was shot in both California and Austria.

In July 2010, the Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) announced that they would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest after a three-year absence following their withdrawal in 2008. ORF organised the national final Düsseldorf - wir kommen! in order to select the Austrian entry for the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. Thirty songs competed in an online voting round titled Guten Morgen Düsseldorf, of which ten were selected to proceed to the national final. The ten songs competed in a televised show where two rounds of public voting selected the winner. The first round selected the top three entries to proceed to the second round, during which "The Secret Is Love" performed by Nadine Beiler was selected as the winner after gaining 46.73% of the votes.

Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their entry was selected through the national final Eurosong 2014, organised by the Belgian broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). In September 2013 the Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) announced that they had internally selected Wurst to compete at the 2014 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, with her song presented to the public in March 2014.

Australia participated for the first time in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the 2015 edition in Sofia, Bulgaria with the song "My Girls" by Bella Paige.

Austria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Loin d'ici" written by Zoë Straub and Christof Straub. The song was performed by Zoë. The Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) organised the national final Wer singt für Österreich? in order to select the Austrian entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Ten songs competed in a televised show where a jury panel and a public vote first selected the top two entries to proceed to a second round of voting. In the second round, a public vote exclusively selected "Loin d'ici" performed by Zoë as the winner. This was the first time that the Austrian song was performed entirely in the French language at the Eurovision Song Contest. The Austrian song was also the only entry performed in the final entirely in a language other than English.

Bulgaria participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Their entrant was selected through the televised national selection "Decata na Bulgaria sa super", organised by the Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT). Lidia Ganeva won the national selection and she got the right to represent Bulgaria in the contest. Ganeva performed the song "Magical Day " at the contest.

Israel participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Israeli broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC/KAN) collaborated with the commercial broadcaster Keshet and Tedy Productions, which organised the reality singing competition HaKokhav HaBa L'Eurovizion to select the singer. The winner of the Israeli national selection was Netta Barzilai and a committee of the Israeli broadcaster internally selected the song "Toy" for her.

Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix2019 in order to select the Danish entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

<i>Der kleine Song Contest</i>

Der kleine Song Contest was a one-off music competition in the Eurovision format, organised and broadcast by the Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF). It served as an alternative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, which was planned to be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, but had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Austria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Amen" written by Tobias Carshey, Ashley Hicklin and Jonas Thander. The song was performed by Vincent Bueno. On 26 March 2020, the Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) announced that they had internally selected Vincent Bueno to compete at the 2022 contest in Rotterdam, the Netherlands after he was due to compete in the 2020 contest with "Alive" before the event's cancellation, while "Amen" was presented to the public on 10 March 2021.
