Nala Damayanthi is an Indian-Tamil language television series starring Priyanka Nalkari [2] and Nandha. The show revolves around Dhamayanthi, a small-town girl who falls in love with a city rich boy Nalan.

It premiered on Zee Tamil from 9 October 2023 and ended on 25 May 2024 with 196 Episodes. [3] This series was launched along with Sandhya Raagam . [4]

Plot

Nala Damayanthi is the story of a girl Damayanthi, a compassionate cook aspiring to keep her mother's hotel thriving, Damayanthi meets top chef Nalan (Nandha). He decides to usurp her hotel to grow his premium food business.

Nalan soon acting like falls in love with Dhayamanthi, which creates further real love. However, her life changes when she meets businessman Nalan. [5]

Priyanka Nalkari was cast as the female lead Damayanthi, [2] who is a her passion for cooking, marking his return after Seetha Raman . [6] However, her character died suddenly. [7] In May 2024 actress Sreenidhi was introduced as a new female lead, Anjali, for a new story line with Nalan. [8] Nandha was cast as the male lead Nalan, who is an top chef. Nandha to act in this series, he was left from the series Kanne Kalaimaane which airs on Star Vijay. [9]

In January 2024, actor Puvi was cast as Kamesh in special Appearances. [10]

Release

The first promo was released on 13 September 2023, featuring Priyanka Nalkari and revealing the title name. [11] The second promo was unveiled on 24 September 2023, featuring Nandha revealing story. [12] The third promo was unveiled on 28 September 2023, featuring protagonist Nalkari, Nandha and Ramya Krishnan [13] and revealing the release date. [14] [15] [16]

The show started airing on Zee Tamil on 9 October 2023, replacing Peranbu time slot.

Promotion

Zee Tamil was promoted their new two fictions Sandhya Raagam and including this series by making advertisement with Krishnan [13] [17] [18] as God Amman [19] and this promo released on 28 September 2023. [20]

Reception

The show got a TVR of 3.09 on launching week on 9 October 2023. [21]
